Great vest for longer, unsupported trail runs!

Very comfortable on +2 hr. trail run, I would not bother with wearing it if all I was running is a 1/2. Phone pocket may not work for your phone (does mine), but I never carry my phone anyway, so don't really care about that. It is great for a section of trail map, gels, car key. Back pocket was great for wind shell and baggie of misc. items. No issues with stuff falling out, the fabric openings remain closed when you are wearing the vest with stuff in the pocket. Overall very happy with purchase!

did not for me

I tried it on today, wore it around the store, liked the fit but I challenge anyone to put an actual cell phone in the cell phone pocket, also the back storage panel is not zippered so as you are bouncing along the half marathon your stuff can bounce out. I need something like this and I really wanted it to work but I need to keep searching.

Great vest for solo training

This is my first running vest. 5'10", 160lbs and I initially bought medium because it fit great in the store, but bounced a little too much once full of water and snacks. Returned for a small. The mesh pockets are a little smaller, but can still fit everything I need: rain jacket, snacks, gloves, sunglasses. The material is great, no chafing after 2+ hour runs. The water bottles slump down into their pockets once you drink about half of the water, but it's not a huge issue to me.

Great Running Vest

I've had this running vest for two months now and I absolutely love it. This bag easily holds my cell phone (iPhone 6), keys, some snacks and an extra layer. The two front water bottles are also very conveniently placed and keep me hydrated on the trail or the pavement. The material is also very comfortable (compared to running packs that I've had in the past. I highly recommend giving this pack a try just make sure that you get the right fit. It took me several tries to figure out the right size.

Great fitting vest...often forgot I was wearing it

My first use was on a 35K trail run. The fit was superb...snug but comfortable. It did not bounce or shift. I am 6' 2" (but pretty thin) so I debated getting the large size but am glad I chose the medium after trying it on at the REI store. Great variety of pockets and since the vest is not bouncing around I don't expect to have gear bouncing out. My iPhone 7 with case fit easily in the zippered pocket.

I do love this vest

I ended up purchasing this for OCR use and it has not let me down yet. The bottles are reliable and hold a good amount, and the addition of a 1.5 bladder in the back for the ultra races conforms well. I have not found it to throw me off my pace no matter how its packed, nor do I need to take it off when going through barbed wire. It just does its job it's intended to. There is room for gel, chews, a stuff pocket for a jacket, and phone pocket for my s7 or 6s that I can hear while still in the pocket and everything is in reach at all times without removing it. I believe I will buy the nano in addition to this in the future. The only change I would make is a pop up straw from the flask. Keep up the good work.

Great Product. Phenomenal Price

I have used this extensively for the past 4 months and have to say overall I really like the pack. The fit is incredible, I often run shirtless with no chafing issues. The flasks are amazing and you can put a reservoir in the pack with no problems also. There is plenty of storage on the sides and in the pockets. The only 2 complaints I have are that 1.) the sizing seems off. I am 6'4 and 185 pounds and wear a medium (which kind of suprises me). Even in a medium I have to tighten in down quite a bit. Also there is a pocket at the very top on the right hand side that is seems useless. I would rather them leave that one off and make the existing pockets a little bigger. Overall phenomenal product and I highly recommend using the Ultra Pro.

Really great vest

I bought this to help train for a Marathon and for some trail runs in Colorado. Now that I've used it on some longer distance runs I can say I really love it. A good amount of water for me if I'm doing < 20 miles. Rear pocket will hold an extra layer and gloves just fine. There's no zipper but I don't see anything coming out of there while it's on your body. The cell phone pocket won't hold my iPhone 6 Plus but I'm used to running with it in my pocket anyways. I use that pocket for an energy bar and my keys and the other side for a couple Gu packets. It seems I have to tighten the vest every few miles but that doesn't bother me. The most important factor for me was that it doesn't start bothering me on long distances and at 6 ounces, it excels in hat department. I've had zero issues with chafing or discomfort of any kind. I really wouldn't change anything about this vest. A worthy purchase.

Well thought out pack!

I've been using the Ultra Pro for a few months and love it. This pack has a really well thought out layout. The flasks, with their flattened out shape, ride low on the rib-cage compared to some other packs and are very comfortable. The under-arm side pockets hold tons and are easily accessible. Finally, the side access to the big overflow pocket on the back is genius! I love being able to fish out my jacket without taking off the pack. Huge plus. I would highly recommend the Ultra Pro for trail running and ultra racing. I would also recommend considering getting a size smaller than what you would expect. I am 5'10" and 140 lbs (35" chest) and a medium seems a bit loose. I have to tighten down the front straps quite a bit. I probably should be a small, but it still works great and is very comfortable.

Ultra Pro Vest

I purchased the Ultra Pro Vest and really like it. I coupled it with a 1.5 liter bladder and put a shock cord on the back of the vest. I am able to carry plenty of water, electrolyte (in the small squeeze bottles), and gel. Plus, I can put my hiking poles in the back when not using them. The fit is very good and I can access the pockets I need while running or hiking fast.
