Soft, lightweight, long run approved!

Love this vest! I purchased it specifically for spring/summer running and love that I can wear a light top or even just a sports bra underneath! No chafe yet and I wore it on a 20 mile run where I ended up ditching my long sleeve. It’s lightweight and stays in place!

Aero-Zip Vest

I wore the AeroZip 1 Liter Women’s Hydration Race Vest for the Huntington Beach Half Marathon, and it performed really well overall. The zip-up design is actually one of my favorite features. It makes the vest feel more secure and streamlined compared to traditional strap systems—no adjusting mid-run, no worrying about loosening. Once zipped, it stayed in place the entire race with minimal bounce, which was a huge plus over 13.1 miles. It’s also impressively lightweight and comfortable. I didn’t experience any chafing, even with the ocean air and slight humidity along the course. The material felt breathable and didn’t trap heat once the sun came out. The 1-liter hydration capacity was perfect for a half marathon. I was able to hydrate consistently without depending too much on aid stations. Storage was just right too—enough space for my phone, gels, and essentials without feeling bulky. One thing to keep in mind is that since it zips up (no adjustable straps), getting the right size matters. But once you have the correct fit, it feels very secure and almost like part of your outfit. Overall, this vest is a great race-day option—sleek, stable, and easy to use. I’d definitely wear it again for future races and long runs.

Almost perfect!

This was ALMOST perfect. I LOVE the new material that’s super breathable especially in the back. The fit is very flattering and it does not move around when I run. The only thing that I’d improve, and it is very annoying, is that the rubber band holding the water bottles in place is on the inner side of the pocket not the outer side and thus causes the neck of the water bottles to bump into my neck and it’s very irritating. I have another Nathan vest where the rubber band is on the outer side and it’s very comfortable. I’m going to try running without the band on the bottles and hope they stay in, or I’ll have to sew in a band on the outer side because it will not work for me as it is. Which is unfortunate otherwise it would’ve been a 5 star

My New Favorite Way to Carry Water on a Run

My favorite vest ever. I was worried that it would exacerbate my tummy perimenopausal belly, but it hits at the bottom of my rib cage and the compression is a little looser there. I typically hate compression and am surprised to like this so much. Size M 5’5, long torso, 34b-36c, 135 lbs.I wore a small in the pinnacle.

Ladies… Size down!

I’m going to preface this review by saying this is my first Nathan vest. I take the sizing guidelines seriously and measure for every single running product I own because I know at mile 20 it can make or break you. This product has SO much potential. It does feel like air when you have it on and, for the most part, disappears on body. BUT.. listening to the advice of the size guide steered me wrong. I unfortunately fell into the grey area between a small and a medium, I ordered a medium based on the info I had. The last thing I wanted was to not be able to zip the thing up, or to have it start to unzip mid run if it was that time of the month and the chest was too snug. By the end of the 8 miles I did right out of box no matter how tight I snugged the sides up there was some bounce - which means chafe in longer distances. After one run I contacted Nathan (twice) to see if I could swap it out for the smaller size and I’ve been left waiting. If you take one thing away from this, size down. It has great potential and I know it’s a new product so maybe that’s on me for giving it a shot before a lot of reviews came out, but I had hope it would work itself out. Size can make or break ya.
