Salomon  GRVL Skin 4 Hydration Vest

I absolutely love my Gravel Salomon vest! It’s perfect for both short and long runs I’ve worn it on runs up to 10 miles so far, and it’s been amazing every time. It’s incredibly lightweight and flexible, which makes it super comfortable. The pockets are deep and secure, so my essentials stay in place without any bouncing (which is a huge plus!). The colors are very girlie but not overly bright, just the perfect balance. I loved it so much that I ended up buying it in both of the new colors. I highly recommend this vest for anyone looking for something lightweight and comfortable, especially if you don’t need to carry too many items on your run. Size runs true to your chest measurements. I got size Medium.

I love this vest. It carries the perfect amount of water in the two flasks, and having the option to put a large bladder fitted into the back is great too!! I’ve been able to handle longer runs in the Texas heat thanks to this, and it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel restrictive at all. Comfort-wise, I do recommend wearing it with a shirt underneath the first few fines, as I learned the hard way that not letting my skin get used to it leads to some pretty impressive chafing. Otherwise, it’s one of my best purchases of this year so far!

I really wanted to love this vest, but unfortunately it did not work for me. The fit of the vest was fine. Using during a run however was a different story. I found that this vest doesn't provide any sort of ventilation. It stuck to my back and sides which caused my torso and back to completely rash because there was no way for the sweat to wick off my body. The hydration "bottles" were also really uncomfortable on my chest when filled. I was only able to tolerate one. Using the front zipper pocket for my phone was also uncomfortable. Even more so when trying to fit it into the pocket with a full hydration bottle. I will be returning this vest and will continue my hunt for a running vest.

This is my first run hydration pack. I didn't have the issue others explained where the bladders would sag into the pouch. Seems well balanced and although running with no pack is still ideal, this pack was easy to get used to on longer runs. Now am able to run with my wallet and phone in the back compartment. Everything is snug and fits well. The zipper pocket in front of the bladder on the one side is great for gels. The unzippered pocket is great to stash the used gel containers. Will look into larger hydration packs for 10+ mile runs as on hot days as having more water would be ideal.. but this pack is perfect for hour plus runs where I want to bring hydration.

Before taking a 21 mile trail run on my 21st birthday, I decided to invest in a hydration vest. This bad boy packed 1000s of calories in food, two additional layers, and plenty more over five peaks, a mile of vert, and the whole 21 miles (+ more). Comfortable damping, moved with my body (in a good way), and absolutely no chafing, even hours later. Couldn't ask for a better experience with my first vest!

I purchased it to have a smaller option than my adv12. It is perfect for carrying less and it’s less hot than having a bigger vest. I like to swap one water bag for my bear spray. The pocket are not deep. The bear spray as a tendency to want to come up from the pocket and my car key fob as well. I just make sure to clip it to the « hook » or to place it in the zipped pocket. The back of the vest goes up and rub on my neck need to make sure it’s adjust properly and sometimes need to readjust

I bought this vest for the design and how light it is. Running in the summer heat I wanted something not fully covered in the back and was breathable. It totally meets my breathable expectations, however the water flask are small for hydration and the front pockets are loose and the zipper pocket is tight I had to remove the phone case for my iPhone 17 to fit my phone. Overall I’m satisfied, however could have some small tweaks to improve the vest.

I do shorter mid week trail runs of up to 10km, and this is perfect for carrying the essentials, phone, a few snacks, mini first aid kit and 2 flasks of water. The colour is not overly girlie but very pleasant and the sizing is accurate - i can say this with confidence as I am a 34inch chest and was previously wearing a size small, but I got an XS in this and the difference is amazing, I dont even notice that I'm wearing it.

I’ve used this vest on multiple long runs (6+ miles) and have zero complaints. It stays secure with absolutely no bouncing, even while running, and it looks great too. I haven’t needed to use the rear storage since I only carry water, gels, my phone, and my keys, but there’s still plenty of room and storage available if you need it. Overall, it’s been comfortable, lightweight, and exactly what I was looking for.

Absolutely love this vest! SO much more comfortable than the Active Skin 4 vest. Fabric is a bit softer, arm hole area is much larger and doesn’t feel too tight in the arm pits which is really nice. The ONLY reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the white/grey color is a bit darker than in the photos. Really wish there were other color options like pink for this one!
