Golden Ticket!

This pack is great! I am 5’9” 254 lbs and 51” around the widest part of my chest. I bought the XXL/XXXL and it fits with plenty of strap room left for larger adjustments if needed. This pack meets both functionality and custom fit. The adjustments are easy to make it feel form fitting and snug without restricting my chest - making breathing nice and easy! The water pack is great - minimal sloshing at first then after a minor readjustment no sloshing at all. Great storage for snacks, keys, phone and more without feeling bulky. Buying a second vest for my wife after she tried it on and wanted one for herself. Whether it be walking, running, or hiking this pack is the best! No bouncing or rubbing on shoulders/chest/sides during run. First bought Nathan packs - but the sizing wasn’t quite right for larger frames. Would recommend this to anyone - not a Male/Female thing - the Swiftland 5 is great for everyone. You can tell the good quality by look and feel. The pictures online don’t do it justice - give it a try!

Great hydration vest!

This is my second running vest for trail running. I have an Osprey vest that holds two small bottles and wanted something with a reservoir that could hold more water and a few more items. I really like the setup of the pockets and the bigger zipper pocket in the back. I can easily fit my iPhone Pro Max model in the front pockets and it doesn't change the fit at all. The reservoir included seems to be nicer than the other HydroPak reservoirs i've used in the past (cobranded with either Osprey or Nathan) - i really like the way this one mounts inside the pack. The adjustment of the fit is not too complicated and I have not had to adjust it again after i set it up the first time. Overall very pleased.

Good, but retains your smell

First hydration pack that I’ve tried of this type. I’ve had previous ones such as Camelbak and Osprey, but not this style. Works well, has quite a bit of functional pockets and fits well. The only complaint I have is it retains your sweat smell. So definitely use a disinfectant spray or wash it after every run. My other packs did not retain my sweat smell like this pack does. But they are not the same style of hydration packs nor are of the same material. Hope that helps you with your decision.

Son loves it for long runs!

Bought this for my son to use on his long runs. He loves it. Holds a large amount of water. No perceived added weight. It's not loose on his body, but doesn't restrict his movement either

Exactly What You'd Expect!

This Swiftland 5 Vest is exactly what I wanted. I thought that the water in the bladder would slosh around a lot, but there's a written tip on the inside of the pack that tells you to suck the air out of the bladder, to keep the water from sloshing. The amount of straps are great, and the bladder works well. Wish it came in dark green!

Game Changer

Has been an excellent piece of equipment for both running and cycling. I couldn’t imagine returning to either activity without it at this point! This product exceeded my expectations.

I wish it had been better :(

This hydration vest is well designed, but I expected a better-made product from REI. The carry loop on the top came apart in the first week, and valve on the water hose didn't make it through three months. I run most days and bought this to replace an older Nathan hydration vest. The Nathan was better constructed, but I prefer the design of REI vest.

Compact and comfortable

Just used it today for a half marathon. Rides nice on the shoulders very comfortable. The storage is limited but I wanted something light and this fit. Very pleased. Washed up well afterwards too.

I was looking for a smallish hydration pack for running and mountain biking. This definitely works!
