Rated 3 out of 5 by from Waist on the size small much too big I bought these in a small and the undershorts fit great but the waist on the outer layer is enormous. There are pull tabs to tighten the waist, but I ended up with so much extra fabric bunching up that it looked terrible. (I have bigger legs & a smaller waist and they fit my legs comfortably. If you carry more of your weight around your waist they would fit great.) Had they fit better I would have kept them. They would have been perfect for biking or (after cutting the strings attaching the bike shorts) hiking too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bunch up I bought these about a month ago, and wore the outer shorts a couple times as "walking shorts" I was excited to get bike shorts in a color other than gray or black. The fabric is light weight, which worked ok for the hot weather I experienced on my vacation. However one leg kept creeping up and I had to pull it down occasionally. When I returned home I tried them out bicycling (which they are designed for, supposedly) both shorts legs crept up my legs and began to wad up in my crotch. needless to say this was quite uncomfortable and I had to stop every few block s and pull them back down. I am hoping I can return these even though I have worn them. Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short is way too big! I really wanted to love these. I tried on the XL chamois first and it fit great--no reverse muffin-top on the thighs. But the shorts were gigantic, maybe even a whole size larger than the chamois. I had nearly four extra inches in the waist of the shorts, which made them totally impractical even with the adjustable waistband. I ended up buying a size L pair, but now both the chamois and the shorts seem too small. Zero stars for the shorts, but two stars for the chamois--not bad for an hour and a half of singletrack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Awkward fit The fabrics used in these shorts felt great, and the chamois was comfortable. I had to return them however because the outer shorts were much too wide. For reference, I am 5'3", 120 lbs, and ordered a small. This might work on non-petite frames.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfort w/ a little style I like these bike shorts because I can have padding and still not look like I'm wearing padded bike shorts. We rode to breakfast and I felt like I was wearing normal shorts. The padding is quite adequate for my 20 mile rides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shorts, great price! I'm not sure why these shorts have such poor reviews. This is my second pair I've purchased and I've put both thought the ringer! I ride a lot and love these comfortable shorts. I'm 5'10" and they hit 3/4 down my thigh making them great in the summer. I have large thighs and they aren't too tight. (My usual complaint). Give them a try!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for! I'm really pleased with these cycling shorts. I'm about to get back into cycling after years away from it and really wanting something a little less snug to cycle too and from the store. I love that the liner is separate (I cut it free, as other reviewers mentioned) and I can wear the shorts by themselves. I plan on also slipping them on after diving! They'll dry in a flash

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable My first pair of bike shorts - I like that the inner pant with pad is separate from the shorts. They stay in place well. i have experienced unraveling of the waist band on the padded pant and will have to return them but, will get exactly the same item if possible.

Questions & Answers

The tag indicated the liner was removable, but it is attached with narrow strips that are sewn.  Do I cut the strips?  They twisted tremendously in the washing machine.

Asked by: JTom
The liner is removed by cutting the thin narrow strips of material.

Are all of the sizes running big, as the reviews posted here suggest? I'm between a medium and large and would rather have the former (especially if it runs big anyway).

Asked by: SuperSuz
Yes, these shorts run larger than your usual size, so you may want to size down in your purchase selection.
