PEARL iZUMi  Expedition Cycling Bib Shorts - Women's

My friend is always raving about her Pearl iZumi bibs, that have lasted her for years, so I wanted to get some. Unfortunately I live in Australia and Pearli Zumi don't ship to Australia. But I have a friend in the States and she agreed to be intermediary. With extra postage, exchange rate fees and bank charges it cost a lot, and took quite a while. When the arrived however, I was super disappointed. The fit is too small to make the drop tail design workable, and I find the chamois less comfortable than my other bibs. The design seems quite inferior compared to my friends earlier version.

I am blown away by the comfort and fit of these. I got them in a sale just because I needed plain black bibs and I liked the pockets on the legs. They instantly became my new favorite!! The fit is perfect and the chamois divine. I usually go for Castelli, Rapha, Pactimo, and Girodana and these are better. The pockets are deep but yet also slim and hold items securely. The drop tail works without having too much extra fabric. Now I want another pair! I’m almost universally a medium and medium is perfect. Not too compressive yet holds me in place. I’m 5 8 135

These bibs run small. I have several pairs of PI shorts in small (5’2”, 130 lbs, muscular build). These bibs feel like and XS, maybe because of the cargo pockets’ lack of stretch. Also, they drop for bio breaks, but if you realllllly need to go, be warned, that it’s not an easy process. If you really need easy access for bio breaks, just get normal shorts. I wear these mountain biking, gravel riding, and on road.

The quality of the shorts is great, the material is soft, the pockets are spacious, however they run so small! I am so glad I read the reviews because I sized up from my usual size and even based on the size chart and they borderline just fit in the leg and butt. I'm, thinking over time they will settle in but definitely size up once, if not twice

I wanted to love these bibs. I sized up according to recommendations and they still feel weirldy tight around the thighs, maybe because of the pockets, but i have plenty of other shorts with pockets that dont fit like this. The chamois is on the thick side which made for an uncomfortable ride. Im so bummed because I really hoped they would work.

This was my first time ordering cycling bibs, and the measurements were true-to-size. They've been comfortable to wear on my rides so far. I'd recommend these to other first-time purchasers as well. I think it will give you a good product-level experience that will inform any future, potentially pricier, kit purchases.

These are very comfortable. Be sure to wash before wearing of course. They are a bit snug upon opening, but washing relaxed them a lot. I love the side pockets and specifically got these for longer rides when I need more snacks along. The drop seat is a little snug at first but also stretches over time.

Love the cargo pocket style! And the drop bob is perfect! The stretch is just right to make it easy, yet still feel covered when on. The leg grippers help them stay in place and don’t feel the need to fuss with them. Rode 60+ mi and the Chamois was great! Please make more like this!

Just completed a 5-hour road ride in 65 degree (F) weather. This expedition bib worked perfectly. Chamois stayed in place and bathroom breaks were smooth. Pockets were super convenient. I’m 5’1” / 125 lbs, narrow hips.

I absolutely love these bib shorts! Smooth fabric and super comfortable chamois for longer rides. I love the pockets. Easy spot for phone or nutrition. Love the fit. Would definitely recommend and purchase again.
