I bought the Freda riding shorts to be used while mountain biking. I got a size 10 (an 8 would've been a better fit for me) in the cutest color, pink with white flamingos. The fabric is a bit thicker so these are best used spring/fall riding. They wick wonderfully. The hip pockets are good enough, and I'm very picky about pocket space since I don't carry a pack or bladder. I can fit my 6.7" phone in one pocket and a beeswrap of grapes in the other pocket. Keys fit in the zippered pocket that sits lower on the left quad area. I'd love to see an added pocket on the rear waist band area, but that's just me. My gripe is that the flamingos have, well, they've flown away(do flamingos fly?), and the color after one season of use is now a dingy pink. What i mean by the flamingo comment is that the applique has worn off completely in the, umm down there (butt/perineum). This is a result of friction with the saddle as I pedal. I would repurchase them, and I already did. So far, the appliqué is intact, but I've only worn them a few times. I would prefer to give them 3.5 stars but its not available.

I like these but they run really big. they need to be a little big for a liner to fit under them but they are too big even for that in my usually size.
