Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not an expert, but.. I have only tried a few types of electrolytes so I can't speak much about it, but I thought I'd address the taste. I really like it. The other electrolyte drinks I tried all tasted like bland Gatorade or something, and they were too sugary. I just didn't find it refreshing. This one is not very sweet and the flavor is not very strong, but it has a great refreshing taste. And when my bottle is getting low and I top it off with plain water, it has no taste at all while drinking but the after-taste is good. I do not think it tastes like sugar substitute in the same way that diet drinks do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tastin' My local REI was out of the Endurolyte capsules so I bought the Mango flavor of these. I usually open two capsules and add them to my sports drink (Hammer Perpetuem) for long rides, so I added 1 tablet (which equals two capsules) to 24 oz of water that I use to mix my Perpetuem. The mango flavor makes the Perpetuem taste better and removes some of the milky after taste/finish of Perpetuem alone. If I did my math right, the cost per serving/dosage works out to be about the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective but Bland I've used this, CamelBak Elixir, NUUN, and GU Brew tablets quite extensively. I sweat profusely during exercise and will suffer severe cramping from electrolyte loss if I don't replenish during long rides, so I consider myself an ideal guinea pig for testing such products (not that I want to be a guinea pig, but I'll take one for the team in the name of science). The taste is quite bland and unappealing to me, so I find myself using at least a tab and a half per 24-oz. water bottle, if not two whole ones. Taste aside, the bottom line is that they work, and do not upset my stomach at all during long or intense rides. If flavor matters, I find the GU tablets to be the best of the four brands, but your mileage may vary. A five for effectiveness but a two for taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I carry an extra water bottle with half a fizz tab to the gym every day and it helps keep my electrolytes in balance while I work out. On long hikes, I have used it too. Once I gave it to a friend who was sick with nausea, sweating from hiking a long day in the heat. He felt weak and woozy, but said drinking 8 ounces of water with Fizz made him feel better right away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Taste like stevia Though it does have some electrolytes, they added this stevia sugar thing. As a result, no matter what the flavor is it all taste like sugar substitute.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from is it really all that Fizzed up to be? This is the second electrolyte i have tried...... Appears right off the bat to be better than the first product i tried. Much higher count in potassium compared to other. So far coming off the hiking trail after consistently drinking 4-6 liters of water 8-9 hour period i do not suffer the total exhaustion feeling as in the past. Also signs of muscle cramp has not occured since i have been using an electrolyte. Not a doctor here, just hiking on a weekly basis and measuring my level of performance & rebound end of day & next day. I have read other reviews on these types of products and quoting from one biker - nothing substiutes for conditioning. Also each person is different, i use 1.5 tablets per 16 oz. I'm on my second tube and have a third in hand. Johnny Del

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Hydration I use this frequently to rehydrate after running or some other sweaty activity. The latest use I've found is for travelling. These seem to help tremendously with the dehydration associated with flying and being at altitude. If I know I'm drinking enough fluids but I still have a headache or otherwise just don't feel right, I throw one of these guys in a bottle of water and within 10 or 15 minutes I'm usually feeling better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endurance Hikes - No More Headaches This is a great product for long distance hiking, especially in the heat. I've tried many other products and this one gets me through the toughest hikes without any bloating or headaches. The taste isn't bad at all when drinking during a high intensity activity. In fact it's very refreshing. However, if you are just sitting around thinking it's a good down time drink then you may want to try something different.
