NUUN Vitamin Hydration Tablets
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I was pleasantly surprised by the tablets, taste, and quality of the hydration tablets. A couple of things to be aware of - it can take several minutes (took 5 minutes on occasion) for the tablet to fully dissolve; if you don't use the recommended amount of water, the taste is chalky; if you use too much water, the taste just isn't as strong; it doesn't have a strong fizzy taste to me; the tablet will rise to the surface right before it's fully dissolved, which is important to know if you use a Yeti, Stanley or some other tumbler. When you see it rise, it's almost done! Overall, I really enjoyed the hydration tablets - taste, texture, everything, and I'd recommend these to my friends.
Great way to level up your water
I travel to Asia a lot for work and have always packed a powdered electrolyte mix to have in the mornings so I was really excited to see this offering from nuun. It's a great easy way to get that extra hydration plus the added bump of vitamins. I can't wait to take these on my next trip. I got the watermelon flavor and I have to say it wasn't my favorite but that may also be because I'm generally not a fan of watermelon flavors. I would definitely purchase again and try some of the other flavor options.
Love the taste!
I have the Strawberry melon Nunn hydration tablets and am impressed. I was initially worried that they would be overly sweet, given the flavor. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were “just right”. They have a really appealing taste and a bit of fizz. I am normally a fan of sparkling flavored waters, and this was better than most of what I regularly purchase. I would easily switch. The convenience of having a delicious, hydrating beverage anytime I have water available is a huge bonus. The tube packaging prevents breakage and spillage of the product if carried in a pack or purse. Consider me converted from other hydration drinks that leave a yucky aftertaste. These are just refreshing. No yuck factor.
Convenient Hydration and Electrolytes on the go
After intense workouts, staying hydrated is essential for a quick recovery. I used to rely on coconut water for rehydration, but the NUUN Vitamin Hydration Tablets, which have proven to be a more convenient alternative. It's much more practical than lugging around bottles of coconut water. Plus, no need for refrigeration. It's worth noting that it does contain added sugar. While the sweetness enhances the taste, individuals who monitor their sugar intake might want to be cautious. In addition, it also contains stevia which has it's own flavor profile. Overall the taste is great and is great when your on-the-go.
Nuun Strawberry MelonVitamin Hydration
I love Nuun hydration tablets they’re quick and easy to use and absolutely necessary when working or exercising in hot humid climates where you loose a lot from sweat. I work in the jungle where it’s regularly in the high 90s and without Nuun tablets I feel much more fatigued and wore out at the end of the day. I also love that Nuuns don’t gum up water bottles or hydration bladders like a Gatorade powder would. Overall not crazy about the melon flavor. Stick to simple flavors Lemon lime or the berry blast isn’t bad. The more interesting the flavor sounds the more artificial I think it tastes. Haven’t noticed any improvement with the additional vitamins added in. Overall love Nuuns but will try a different flavor next time
Easy and tasty way to get daily vitamins!
These tablets are a great way to get some vitamins in everyday. They have a good flavor - not too strong or sweet, but subtle and yummy. I loved the Strawberry Melon flavor! The tablets dissolve in water in a couple of minutes which makes the easy to use. They are way less messy than powders and you know you are getting the full amount in your drink. The only downside is does take a few minutes for them to be fully dissolved and ready.
Overall fine product
I enjoyed these but not sure I would buy them again. The flavor was fine but I was hoping for more. I would say the grapefruit orange is a generic citrus flavor. These are refreshing after a work-out for sure and I like how packable they are. They would be easy to take backpacking or on a strenuous hike. That said, there are honestly other products I would prefer over this one.
Best (and tastiest) daily water supplement
Nuun is primarily known as an effective sports drink that effectively replenishes electrolytes lost during workouts, preventing dehydration symptoms like cramps, headaches, nausea, and dizziness – something that Nuun does a fantastic job addressing without the added sugars that can upset my stomach. Based on my experience with their sports products, I was thrilled to try the Nuun Vitamins Hydration Tablets as daily hydration and vitamin supplement (Nuun Vitamins tablets offer vitamins A, C, D, and E, akin to a multi-vitamin concept.) The grapefruit and orange-flavored tablets are effervescent electrolyte and vitamin supplements that enhance water with clean ingredients and great flavor. Nuun Vitamins are a convenient way to boost hydration and essential vitamins, and taste great to boot! highly recommend.
NUUN Vitamins Hydration (grapefruit orange)
I tried these NUUN vitamins hydration tablets when I was recovering from the flu and when I was feeling healthy. When sick, I wasn't eating much (nothing sounded good), so it was nice knowing I was getting some much-needed nutrition and hydration. However, I'm not really sure about the use case for these...I enjoy plain water and don't really like sweet-flavored drinks. I have a strong aversion to the taste of fake sugar and could detect the stevia leaf extract in these. And they don't contain enough carbs (only 4g per tablet) to be useful for fueling during exercise. I might try these on a run or bike ride in the future, especially if it's hot out, but likely would not purchase them myself.
Almost amazing!
These tablets are my go-to. I picked up the Nuun Hydration Vitamins to jazz up my water's flavor, and they work well in any dilution—whether it's 16oz or 32oz. Grapefruit Orange is my favorite, and after trying the variety pack, I now stick to the larger Grapefruit Orange option. With my tendency to get dehydrated, especially during intense sweating, I end up drinking a lot of water. However, that sometimes throws off my electrolyte balance. Enter these tablets—they not only improve the taste but also help keep my hydration in check. Now, the downsides: the price is a tad high, but I can manage. Two reasons keep it from a 5-star rating. The main issue is the tablet size—it's too big for a standard water bottle mouth, so I have to break them in half every time, creating a sticky mess. The second, less significant problem is the slow dissolving time in cold water, taking over 5 minutes, and swallowing tablet fragments is a no-go due to their scratchiness. Often, I opt to crush the tablet for a quicker fix, but it results in an even messier situation. A game-changer would be a powder version, possibly with more cost-effective packaging. That plastic tube with the integrated desiccant can't be cheap. For now, I'll stick to the tablets.
