do not waste your money
I bought a four pack and three of the tubes had spoilage. The fourth had some but not as bad. I contacted the company and was told that moisture got inside, with the implication i was at fault. I explained that the tubes were new, unopened and the date had not expired. They did not care to hear this. I ended up throwing away the tablets into the organic waste and the plastic tube into the recycle bin. I bought a four pack last year and the same issue. The company is having a quality control issue and does not care to address issues. I have gone to propel instead of nunn. Do not waste your money. The tablets iut if new tubes is spoiled.
They did the trick. We were on one of the most difficult hikes I’ve encountered in over 50 years of off trail backpacking. I still had cramps, but then I’m 72, so expected some. Which is why I purchased them. Drink lots of water. I also purchased a long sleeved T’shirt from REI which helped keep me cooler than cotton and protected my arms from heavy brush (huckleberry plants 8-10’ all growing downhill due to heavy snow load). I came out unscathed, on a three night outing in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness—except for a painful blister and having stepped on a hornet’s ground nest. Great hike though. Great company with my two brothers and my son.
Really impressive
I was on the cheap and bought the salt lite that gave me a good deal of heartburn. The first time I took these tabs two things happened: 1) my bowels normalized and a good deal of the tightness that didn’t resolve with foam rolling went away. I can only presume it’s because of some occult correction of electrolytes, but now that I take these regularly I’m able to put a better effort on Zwift. I also take 1/2 tab if Magnesium later in the day that alongside whey completely rejuvenated me. Nuun is a major part of my recovery “protocol”. Enurox R4 is the other I wish REI carried it.
They work. Really.
I’ve suffered with severe leg cramps after intense farm work activities, and long distance treks. To the point that going to bed was a scary proposition due to the likely hood of really serious cramps. Especially camping, where getting out of a small tent in the middle of the night is almost impossible when cramping. No more. These tabs work. I use them during and after strenuous activity, and I No Longer suffer from debilitating cramps.
Electrolytes that actually work
If you are looking for electrolytes, I recommend this brand and flavor. You can feel the difference after drinking it. The tablets dissolve well and don't leave any grit.
Love these!
I love these little tablets that I can toss in my running vest or slide into a legging pocket! I usually have one bottle of water and one pre-filled with Nuun and keep an extra tablet just in case I decide to a few extra miles (or I get lost on the trail and my mountain adventure gets extended by accident). The flavor is super mild but good and I love that it is low sugar so that I can get my carbohydrates elsewhere or not at all when I don't need them.
Lightweight drink alternative
I really like Nuun tablets and will continue to by them. They are lightweight for backpacking and a flavorful treat after spending all day drinking plain water on the trail. My only complaint with Nuun is that they kind of have an odd mouth feel.
Not for me
These tablets may work, but I don't like the "fizziness." I feel like I'm drinking AlkaSeltzer. I only tried one tablet. Just my personal taste.
Love the taste and only 1 gram of sugar
I've used these on several backpacking trips and long hot day hikes. They are a great way to replenish electrolytes. Perfect balance, not much sugar. I like the fizz. My only minor complaint is the tablets are a bit too large to fit through a standard plastic bottle mouth (like a smartwater bottle.) The tablets are however scored so you can break them in half but I found that to be a bit tricky without crumbling them.
Hydration electrolyzed!
I love these. They taste good and do what they’re supposed to do never have cramps when I’m sporting the nuun tablets on my BP trips.
