Rated 4 out of 5 by from New brand, good shoes I've had merrells for a long time, probably 9 years (4 different pairs in 9 years), so I was a little hesitant to buy anything else but it was a good choice so far. Part of the reason that I went with Ahnu was the poor color selection in the merrell shoes at the REI store. These fit right out of the box, and have good cushioning. They appear to be well constructed although I've only had these for about a month. I wear them everyday for work where I am on my feet for at least 8 hrs a day and for day hikes, and the shoes meet all expectations for those activites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hike the PCT in these shoes! I hiked the entire PCT in these shoes. Each pair made it about 800 miles on the well maintained west coast trail. Great balance of breathability and durability. Stiff enough to kick steps into the snowpack, but not so stiff that your harvesting blisters on week one. Wide toe box is great for comfort whether you're just out doing errands or putting in a 25 mile day. Ahnu, planning on buying these as long as you're making 'em.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but not waterproof I bought these for everyday wear. I live in the foothills of central California, so needed a shoe that was a bit more rugged than a tennis shoe, but not quite a hiking boot. These shoes fit the bill perfectly until I wore them out in tall grass while it was sprinkling. I quickly found out that they soaked through the mesh material making my feet cold and wet. I will keep these for sunny dry days and will either buy a pair of Coburns or the Elkridge. I have found the Ahnu shoes to be very comfortable and have relieved foot pain that I have experienced in many other brands of shoes and boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent hiking and travel shoe I've worn these hiking in the Mid-East, Western Europe, and the US, and am currently on my third pair. They are also my go-to shoes for travel and sometimes get worn to my business-casual office. The shoes provide excellent cushioning and, with the addition of after-market insoles, have seen me through several hikes of >20 miles. There is a trade-off betwem durability and lightness+cushioning. For me, the Moraga's hit a sweet spot in this balance. I hope they remain in Ahnu's line up for a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ahnu Moraga The shoes are comfortable. I wear them to work and for short hikes and they hold up well. I have high arches and appreciate the arch support. The laces are a little thin, so I'm unsure how long they'll last. If I wear the shoe for an extended period - more than a work day - it's not unusual to have sore feet at the end. I think this has to do with the cushioning, as the shoes don't pinch. I had a pair of Columbia day hikers that felt like I could wear them 24/7 and never get sore, and I've been looking for the perfect replacement ever since. These Ahnus are close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Summer Hiker I bought these as a summer day-hiker to use instead of my Elkridge IIs, which tend to be a little too warm on my feet for extended wear. They seem to be just a tad wider than the Elkridges, but there is plenty of room to cinch them up on my narrow feet. For a low-cut shoe, they do a surprisingly good job in keeping out rocks and debris, but I do wish they would offer this model in a mid-cut boot. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great day-hiking shoe I picked up a pair of Moragas for a trip to Glacier NP because I wanted something lighter than my Wasatchs for the day hikes we had planned. Did a number of 12+ mile hikes in them and I was very pleased with how comfortable they are. They felt sturdy and supportive without being heavy. The toe box is quite protective for something that's not a full-blown boot. I can't speak to the traction in wet weather, but I didn't notice a problem when the soles were wet from stream crossings. (I've given up on women's boots as they tend to be too narrow for me)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Comfortable Fit and Supportive I use this shoe as an everyday shoe at work which involves selling cars on pavement, cement and varied surfaces. The shoe fits well.Very stable. Good fit for a wide foot like mine. My sense is that this would be a great light-weight hiker, though not for the serious. However, it's still a great fit with lots of energy return to the feet on paved, cement and tiled surfaces which says a lot for an outdoor shoe.
