********UPDATE******* Chair bottoms are iffy at best. The plastic broke 7 mo in. I expected better from klymit. Used on a rug on a flat deck. Weight had never exceeded 220lbs, and it was kept sheltered. Not all is lost but it’s still not a good look. Previous- Honestly these are great chairs. Issues: Putting together isn’t the easiest You start to sweat (where you sit)after sitting for a few minutes. Otherwise great chair.

Overall a great chair. I find the assembly to be a little more cumbersome that other camp chairs I have used in the past. They don’t snap together as easily and so assembly takes more effort and time. So I’m docking it 1 star. The chair itself is super comfortable and great to sit in around the fire. Packs up well and stores easily in a bin with the rest of the family’s chairs
I'd say overall for it's compact size, weight, and ease of set up and breakdown. The strength and durability of this chair has exceeded my expectations. I've used this chair for about 6 months now Overlanding. I don't have a lot of extra storage in my jeep, based on pack size and weight this has been a good addition and space saving.
I like these quite a lot, they are good height, pack super small, yet it's not very hard to fit in the pack. Assembly is a bit tricky, you have to make sure the curb on the back poles are aligned correctly and pulling the canvas over is still a bit tight. The seats are comfy though. Only thing is they are not very stable if you're not sitting on them, so I can't use the cupholder because if I get up they may topple over on their own or with a light breeze. This is because the feet are not flat, but have a bulge guess to help them with stability but I think I'd rather have the feet flat.
Overall, I like this chair. Compacts to a size that makes storing in my camper easy and convienent. Assembly is easy, but does require some effort to set last pole in place, which I find to be true for most camp chairs in this category. The chair is stable and the foot pegs provide a secure platform that prevents the chair from sliding around on slippery surfaces. The headrest appears to be more of a gimmick than a feature. However, the backrest provides good support to my shoulders and upper body. Appears to be well made, so anticipate getting years of use out of this product; as always, time will tell and I appreciate the 2 year warranty.
If you're anything like me, you have a whole family (dogs included) you pack up for camping trips. Whether it the truck or the Subaru, there 's never enough room for everything. Traditional camping chairs use valuable real estate that humans or animals need to occupy. The Klymit Ridgeline Camp Chair hits all the right notes. It's strong, sturdy, extremely light weight, and packs into a bag that can be slid under the seats. Very comfortable, and includes a pocket on the side of one of the arm rests where you can store your cell phone, camp knife, gun, wallet, no name it. This chair is well worth the money, and will serve you and your family for years to come.
For the sale price I think it was a steal, but even if it was regular price it would still be great. Light weight, compact but not flimsy. Easy to pack and unpack. Frames are solid and very reliable and comfortable all in all. Would be a great addition for Car Camping, less lightweight adventures or even just a chair in the backyard. It does roll backwards and falls over sometimes when you get up too fast or nudge it a bit so putting a bit of counter weight might help.
This chair is super light. It has straight forward assembly in about 1 min. The poles are well machined aluminum, held together with bungie cords. I like the high back seat to rest my head on. The cup holder is more like a sleave sewn on to the side of the seat. The chair does not have arm rest. The chair is prone to tipping backwards, especially in any wind, and spilling anything in the cup older sleeve. I like how compact the chair is when folded down in its pouch. The zipper did break on the pouch the first time I tried to pack up the chair. Kylmit was quick to resolve the issue beyond my expectations!
I love the high back. It really takes relaxing at camp to another level. The materials and construction are top notch. The only knock I would give it is that the seat is a little narrow. I'm not a big guy, 5'9" and 175 so if you're bigger than me, it might be tight to sit in. Update: my previous review above popped up so I thought I'd provide an update. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CHAIR. I bought 4 chairs and my review above was shortly after I bought them. Currently, that have about 25 days of use and the are falling apart. The fabric is separating on 2 of the chairs and I can see it starting on the other 2.
This chair is pretty comfy and I love the high back. It breaks down smaller than a standard folding or sporting event chair but larger than most hiking chairs. Assembly isn’t the easiest as tolerances are tight and some poles go all the way through the center brace to be attachment point for opposite poles. Also, back often ends up higher on one side than the other due to the poles rotating out of position. Lastly the chair is back heavy and falls over really easily. I’m happy to use it for longer camping trips where I want a comfy chair that I set up once, but it’s not my go to for quick trips or hiking.
