Stylish Running Sneakers With Lots of Bounce

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing you notice about these sneakers are that they look really cool! Great color and style to them - if I were judging them just on design they would easily be my go-to sneakers for training. They also fit really well and are true-to-size with comfortable padding where my feet feel secure but not overly tight or loose. However, while they feel good and look great, these sneakers have a little too much bounce than what I prefer. A little bounce is good for training, but these have what I'd refer to as "Extra bounce". While I will still use them occasionally, I wouldn't use them all the time as a result. But if you like the extra bouncy training sneaker, these are definitely for you!

New favorite dog walking shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first experience with a running shoe that has cushion and impact protection. The verdict? I LOVED it. It was like floating on air. Granted, most of the time, I was walking my puppy and not using it to the fullest extent by running, but it made the early morning and late night strolls super comfortable. The design was fresh, the fabric easy to clean from grass stains, and the colors were trendy, matching my workout gear seamlessly. The fit was perfect, true to my regular size. Nothing that I would change. The few times I did use it for running, it upped my game. So, whether you're walking 1 mile with your four-legged friend like me or you're a road warrior, I would highly recommend this pair.

Great Tempo and Workout Shoe

This is the first Brooks shoe I've tried and I'm very impressed. The Hyperion Max 2 is comfortable, fast, cushioned, and stable. The ride is on the firm side but that is how it should be for tempo/threshold runs, intervals, and workouts. The fit of the upper is amongst the best I've ever experienced in a running shoe. The midsole is protective and well-cushioned but very propulsive. The outsole seems grippy although I haven't tried in wet conditions yet. Very happy with the Hyperion Max 2. For me, it wouldn't be a daily trainer as it really makes me want to pick up the pace.

My New Go-To Running Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Hyperion Max 2 last month and have immediately made these shoes my goto for all of my outdoor running. I really have grown to like how comfortable they are. It only took a single run to break them in and now they are perfect. They are very light and it has been easy to run in them even in the hot summer days! The look of them is also pretty good. I think they are pretty fashionable and i enjoy the color scheme as it matches with many of my clothes. I would recommend these types of shoes to anyone looking to make a switch from their current brand.

Not good

I ordered an 11, which I always do. Had to return for a 10.5 which fit length wise. Once I got the 10.5 I went on a 6 mile run and the shoes were far too narrow. It pinched my pinky toe in the toe box and hurt to run in. This isn't a problem I ever have with brooks. I have a standard foot width. I wanted to love them, the color is cool. But the fitment is horrible. Wouldn't recommend unless you have a narrow foot, and order half a size down. I read complaints about traction. This is definitely something to consider. Light dirt on the river path made the shoe slip pretty bad. One other thing, I love the gusseted tongue. I wish more brooks had that.

Super comfortable and supportive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hyperion Max 2 are very soft and bouncy and look great. I would say they run slightly small, but on the wider side. I usually wear a 10 wide and got an 11 and they fit perfectly, with plenty of width in the toe box. I don’t usually wear a plush running shoe with a sole this thick, so it took some getting used to but now they are my most worn. Great on my joints and feet and while I’m not an avid runner, they give me the comfort and support to want to run more often. The color way adds some color without being too loud and the fabric feels durable. These are my first pair of brooks, but I will definitely buy more when the time comes.

Great upper. Great alternative to saucony endorphin speed

I’ve logged 85 miles in them and only have one complaint - the orange dye on the inside of the heel cup has stained all of my white socks. I typically run in saucony endorphin speeds but found their newest update to be too narrow for me. The foam on the Hyperion max 2 is not as soft as the endorphin but it didn’t seem to bother me much. The use of the plastic plate stiffens them up and makes them feel really good at marathon pace workouts. The longest run I’ve done in these is 12 miles and my feet felt fine afterwards. My favorite part about the shoe is the fit of the upper. Its fantastic. A little warm on hot days but still fantastic.

Fabulous shoes!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is an avid Brooks wearer for casual everyday and for competitive training. He was absolutely blown away with these shoes! The cushion and curve of this shoe is superior for running and everyday wear. They’re very lightweight and the fabric was breathable and airy. One of the top features my husband loved was the shoelaces. They’re designed in a unique way to wear the fabric catches and keeps the laces from coming untied. Overall this shoe was fantastic and there’s nothing that needs changed. My husband would not recommend these shoes for trail running. They’re also not the best for single leg balancing activities.

First run in these today!

I was eying these shoes for a good while before buying them. I've heard nothing but great things about them. Also, the colorway is BEAUTIFUL. After what feels like forever, I finally bit the bullet and made the purchase. Wasn't the best time to, but I did. And today I decided to test them out. I normally wear a size 8, but with running shoes, I know now to always order half a size up. I ordered these shoes in a size 8.5. When I put them on, and took a few steps in them, I knew I was going to like them. I was super excited to test them out today. Ran 4 miles and they felt great!! If anything changes, I will update my review. But I think I'm going to love these shoes.

Great Shoe, Needs Better Color Options

Great distance trainer and I'm on my 3rd pair in the Illusion color. Comfortable, light, solid fit out of the box, great upper and lacing pattern, and they last about 300-350 miles before the sole starts to give up the ghost. I would honestly give this shoe 5 stars all day long but...the color options are soooo incredibly blah. Hey Brooks! Save the conservative, dingy colors for the other lines but light up the Hyperions. All of them. This is your performance line and they need to look the part! (The Brooks text graphic on the arch side is a nice touch, and the Elite PBs are a step in the right direction.)
