Runs large, not very warm

I this jacket to regularly use it for mountaineering and hiking expeditions. Unfortunately I don't use it as much as I would like to because I got a size S and the jacket is enormous on me. I also find that it is not as warm as I expected, maybe it's because the fit is off or because some feathers have started to escape from the seams but either way I'm not impressed. For reference, I'm 5'2 and 115lbs and use the jacket for temperatures between 0C-10C

Not as compact as I would like it, but still does it's job.

This was purposefully bought as an emergency/I forgot a jacket.... Jacket. It does it's job. It's warm, comfortable and packs up rather nice. Just wish it was slightly more compact when in it's pocket form. This is definitely a good choice for a budget survival blanket type situation to keep stocked in a car bag or center console. It has already been used multiple times, mostly after poor planning for weather conditions, but it would absolutely work as a daily wear jacket as well. Not the most stylish however.

Great Insulating Layer

Very happy with the product. The fabric is super soft. I have worn it the past few days in -32 with the Women's La Liste Jacket over top and a proton and base layer underneath. It kept me warm and has excellent loft. The jacket is true to size. I'm 5'2, 120lbs. I went with the Small because I'm short wasted - the jacket ends at my bottom (measuring 36 inches). I also have wide shoulders and the jacket provides extra room (which is nice for skiing). An 9 out of 10 as a few feathers have come out of the seams.

Amazing warmth for the weight and packs down small. The collar comes up high which I love when the hood is up and I want to cocoon myself in. It is true to Mammut quality which I have always found to be great, but this jacket fit me very narrow in the hips. I got the XS which is my normal size, and fits great everywhere else, but for skiing I prefer more room in the hip and tend to unzip this from the bottom about an inch so that there is a little more room. Still love it and use it constantly, great staple.

Sizing is off and Fabric is flimsy-- disappointing

Although the jacket seems packable and lightweight, the sizing and fit are not workable. As other reviewers have mentioned, the jacket bulges at the waist and isn't flattering. I have additional concerns-- the fabric will not wear well because it is thin. This jacket would best be worn on city streets, and not for any technical activities. Unfortunately, this purchase is non-refundable, and it really should be returnable. Shockingly disappointed.

my favorite coat

this has become my new favorite coat. it's the only coat i wear. snow, rain, hiking. it's perfect. it has enough pockets to become my purse on the everyday grind. the pocket to compress it seemed really hard to push it all in, but it did fit eventually. the hood is awesome and covers most of your face. especially nice in the wind. it's warm without being extremely hot and sweaty. it has become my daily coat!

Alaskan Arborist

I bought this jacket for my wife. She is very happy with it. I feel it runs a little big in the waist, but there is a draw string to snitch down the bottom to help keep the wind from blowing up. The cuffs are snug to the wrist and great. The jacket is extremely light and gives you that warm comfy swaddled feeling, and the color is a nice vibrant red. Definitely a good buy.

Love Jacket, Hate Color

I bought this as a slightly lower-volume "around-town" puffy and it's fantastic. I would definitely take this to the mountains. Lots of coverage, great warm hood, long sleeves. The one I bought is a weird pink that I'm not a huge fan of. My colleagues chuckle a bit when I wear it, which is slightly satisfying I guess. LOL So buy the jacket, but skip the weird pink color.

Right after receiving this gift for Christmas, the front range of CO had a cold front blow in. Temperatures were in the single digits for a few days and this jacket worked phenomenally. "toasty warm". The only desire was for matching pants. It's also incredibly lightweight, and the fit is great (not too baggy for just a base layer but room to add a mid-layer if needed)

Very Warm and Packable

This jacket has kept me warm on icy, 0 degree ski days in Colorado and is very fashionable for going out for après. My only complaint is that hood already has a small hole where the insulation has begun to fall out and I have had to patch it to prevent further ripping. Overall, though, a great jacket!
