I really like these socks - they're so soft! They feel great on my feet. They're not too tight, they're just right. I think their stretchiness adds to their great feeling on my foot. They have a great amount of cushion, which is important to me, too, while still easily fitting in my various shoes.
The first hiking trip I took these socks on I miscounted and didn't bring enough pairs of socks. When it came time to decide which socks I would wear a second time, I hardly hesitated in grabbing these ToughCutie socks. They're thick with ample cushion and retain their shape well. They repelled dirt well, even after two wearings without a wash. They wouldn't be my first choice for hiking on the hottest days given that they're thick and therefore warm, but it's clear they're going to hold up well. For this reason (they're warm), I will use them for hiking, but not for trail running.
I found these socks to be great on the couple of trail runs I’ve used them. The sizing is right and they have the reinforced cushy in the right spots. I’ll be taking these with me to Alaska next month for hiking.
My new favorite sock brand. Good cushioning, not itchy, and comfortable. These are the only no-show socks I've ever had that stay up. I normally wear hiking boots and shoes with a wide toe box, and these socks worked fine for me--plenty of room across the toes. They did seem to shrink a tiny tiny bit after washing, but it wasn't enough to cause a problem. I like these a lot better than Darn Tough, which seem to pill and attract a bunch of fuzz and hair. The DarnCuties don't seem to do that.
I paired these cuties with trail runners on a 12mi hike in New Mexico to Wheeler Peak (13,373ft) and 3 other nearby peaks. It was a warm day (>70 degrees), but my feet never got sweaty even after that mileage. No blisters either! I think that's the magic of the wool used. The cushioning and quality of these socks reminded me of Darn Tough Micro Crew Cushion socks. For hiking, I would recommend these ToughCuties over Brooks Run-In or Feeatures Tab socks b/c those made me sweat instantly.
These socks are cute, comfy, and sturdy enough given what I used them for. I wore them with low cut shoes. I tried them for a few runs, walking my dog, and casual around the town exploration. My general thought is that these are great socks. Being wool, they didn’t smell after runs or sweaty walks in South Carolina heat. My feet never felt too hot, these regulated my feet temperature really well. My one reason I personally think these aren’t perfect socks is my desire for a little more heel padding. After a few days of stress testing the socks, they felt a little worn down around my heels.
These are very good socks. I've worn them on several walks and short hikes and just as everyday socks. They hug my feet without any wrinkles and are generally very comfortable. They go well with my Birkenstock clogs, but I especially like that with my black running/walking shoes, they truly are all but invisible. I like that because of the merino content, these can be worn for more than a day without noticeable odors. They are very absorbent, and kept my feet dry even when the weather was warm and humid. After several washes in a regular load, regular cycle, they look as good and fit as well as when I first got them. The two things that make them less than absolutely perfect are that they are quite warm and that I could use a little bit more padding on the top of the foot (under the tongue of the shoe).
I’ll start this review by saying that I am a little biased because I love wool socks but I have to admit that I was surprised at just how comfortable the socks were. I prefer the low cut, and these stayed in place while I was working out (running and weight training). I felt like they were good at moisture wicking and, as I said, they were very comfortable. I will definitely be buying more.
I love these socks. I’m very picky and I thought these were comfortable, they didn’t slip down when I was running and didn’t shrink when I washed them. I wore then for a short camping trip and they kept my feet warm and they breathe well. I also like the purple and grey color because it’s hard to tell when they are dirty.
Love the padded heal. It saves my heal from blisters in low boots. When I wear them with low tennis shoes it is even better because the padding allows me to run in shoes that used to give me blisters .
