A Boot Sock that stays in place and keeps you warm
The Women's Hike sock is very comfortable and washes well. I tend to hang dry my socks to prevent shrinking. I like that they fit well after washing and stay up, not slouching. I did dry a pair on low in a dryer and they shrunk. I am in Alaska and wear wool socks nearly year-round. I have been wearing Smartwool socks for over 20 years and have seen many styles come and go. It used to be hard to wear out a pair of Smartwool socks. These socks do show signs of wear, in the back of the heel and will not last for years to come like the original Smartwool socks. The women's socks tend to wear out faster than the men's socks for some reason. Compared to other brands of wool socks available today, I find these of the best, providing good warmth and comfort. Love the color choices!

Walking on a cloud
I put these wool socks on and they are so soft and cozy around my feet. Starting off on a hike with happy feet is a plus. I just walked from Assisi to Rome using Smart Wool socks and not one blister! I now use them even for my everyday walks.
