Sole star

After weeks of testing the Roclite I have come to enjoy the lightweight fast technical feel of the boot. I was initially hesitant but after I dialed in the right socks and fit I feel I will be reaching for these boots on day hikes or overnight fastpacking trips. I would not recommend this boot if you are looking for maximum comfort or plan to do longer multi-day backpacking trips with a heavier pack. The Roclite G 345 GTX is a niche product for those looking for a ultra lightweight durable boot and are willing to sacrifice some of the comfort that other hiking boots, while heavier, may provide. The G-Grip graphene enhanced sole is the star of this shoe offering excellent traction on all surfaces along with killer durability.

Good for very light trail walks

I'm looking for a boot to train for the Rim2Rim2Rim, 50 mile, trek in June 2022 Inov8's description as a "hiking and running boot " is inaccurate. The Roclite G 345 may be good for walking on light and smooth trails, but that's about it. If there are any bumps, roots or small rocks then you'll be poked in the heal. I did 10 miles in them, and I suffered for a couple days. Conclusion: Have low expectations, plan on very easy, short hikes and you'll be good. Anything more than that and your feet, ankles, knees and hips will not be happy. The search continues

Sole began failing in 3mo

The toe cap part of the sole began failing months into the purchase. Now I'm 1 day out of warranty and REI and Inov8 won'r do anything. Poor quality and warranty

Used them without breaking them in on a 30mi+ hike. Feet didn't get tired (paired with Darn Tough Heavy Hiker Socks). Great balance, firm footing. Good shock absorption when running. Lightweight and material feels great.
