Comfy and tough

I’ve gone away from old school hard soled hiking boots. These have a tough, durable sole with a running shoe like mid-sole. I did 6 miles of sidewalk and trail right out of the box, zero break in was needed….comfortable out of the box(for me). Lace up nice. I have several pair of Danner hikers as I wear them for work and recreation, I’ve had issues with certain models having the laces cut into your ankle at the top of the foot, not the case with these. Can’t attest to durability yet, I don’t love these types of toe caps because the tendency to separate on the glue joint but you shouldn’t be putting your foot in the fire anyway! I did have to size up, I have at least (6) pair of Danner’s in size 11, I had to send these back for an 11.5. Great shoe.

Great Boots

The quality you get to expect from Danner. You can feel the quality in the material and the extra protection on the extended endurofoam soles. They feel a little stiff at first but they feel great after a short break in. I have wide feet and sometimes have to size up. These boots have ample space if you’re concerned about ordering up. I ordered 12.5 in other manufacturers and 12 in Danner.
