I bought these for a planned hiking trip, as I thought they would be good quality. Been wearing them daily in an attempt to break them in before my trip. Within 20 days, the base of the shoe is already separating from the shoe.

I’m really happy with these hiking shoes. I hike often for bird photography, and that usually means walking on uneven hillsides covered with loose gravel and small rocks. The grip has been excellent — I haven’t felt slippery at all, even on those loose, rocky slopes. They’re also surprisingly lightweight and very comfortable for long walks. Another thing I really like is how well they keep small rocks and debris from getting inside the shoe, which makes a huge difference when hiking on gravel trails. The upper is easy to wipe clean after a hike, and the QuickLACE system works really well. It’s fast to tighten, holds the shoe securely, and stays snug throughout the hike without loosening. Overall, these shoes are lightweight, comfortable, secure, and very practical for hiking. I’d definitely recommend them, especially for anyone who spends a lot of time on rocky or uneven trails.

Super comfortable, probably more comfortable than the prior generations of mid x-ultras I have. They would be 5 stars if laces had “hook clasp” at top of tongue like x-ultras. I could leave them tied at perfect length and simply slide laces into clasp and go where as with these you have a long skinny lace you have to tie / untie every time & like 9” excess lace you then have to tuck out of the way.

They are just as comfortable and soft and easy to wear easy to take off to put on. It’s just a great shoe to have for an everyday use to go to work and also for pleasure.

Since purchase I have done a few hikes and I’ve never felt so light on my feet. Very good ankle support with cushion like insoles.
