The Spry has been my favorite hydration pack for ultra races where there are 2 hours or less of time between aid stations as it can carry 1 liter of water (in the bladder) and a few snacks as well as a bandana and cell phone. You can choose to add bottles to the front. I also love to use it for running adventures where I know I'll only be out for 2-4 hours. I can make it fit snug on my petite frame.
This was my first running vest and on my first run with it, I wondered why I hadn't bought the vest and given myself water access on runs years earlier. Would highly recommend this. Even for 3-7 mile runs, it's nice to have a squirt of water every now and then. The phone compartment is sturdy and doesn't jiggle around. Only complaint is that the tightening strings have to be wrapped up a bit or they'll be flying all over the place when you run, but design wise I can't really think of a way UltrAspire could prevent that.
Good product so far but note that you have to buy the reservoir separately!
Very lightweight little running vest. This is my first time using a running vest, so I don’t have much to compare it to. But it fits snug against the body, doesn’t move around, and has lots of neat little pockets to stash things in. Also more affordable than some of the other options.
Perfect lightweight pack! Great for shorter runs and also loop races. Very comfortable and easy to use!
Has a lot of space, I can easily go shopping or pack food/water for long treks but it is big on me and it's not possible to make it any smaller. I'm not that small of a person, so this really won't work for a petite woman. I also think it would take little effort to add a few reflective strips. Considering how much space this has, you would think it would also be suitable for runs that go into the evening or end in stormy weather.
I’ve enjoyed my treks with this vest so far. I like the elastic closures better than buckles. My one callout is that a 1L bladder likely fits better than the 1.5L I bought that can mostly fit, but jot entirely. Not enough of a problem to return the 1.5 though.
