If you sleep on any kind of elevated platform in the bed, beware. The sloping fashion of the tent door will constrict your length to less than when the tailgate is down. I have a nissan frontier short bed for reference. Also the door is not very waterproof. I used this many times on a roadtrip and when it rained the water quickly caught on the door and started to build up. Then we did not want to re use because the rest got wet when we needed to store it.
All information about this tent says it fits a 2021 Ford Ranger Short Bed but it is not as precise as it should be. I tested it out at home before my first outing and found the bed of the truck is actually 5'1" and that 1" makes it more challenging to get the tent in place. However, I don't give up easily, and with some repositioning of the straps was able to get it to fit well enough. My first outing with it was on a blustery, wet overnight. I got it up just in time for the winds to reach about 20-25 knots with gusts to 30 kns. Knowing that rain was coming and not trusting the fact that there is no rainfly over the door, which is over the foot of your sleeping bag, I tucked a small tarp under the edge of the rainfly, securing it to the tent poles with rope in 3 spots then just let it hang over the door. The rain started in the wee hours of the night and didn't stop until midday. All night I was warm and dry. My gear was dry. In fact, there were no leaks anywhere. I think the design could be improved upon in a couple of ways. 1. Add a rain fly over the door. Even if the door doesn't leak, getting in and out while it's raining would only allow water in because the door is slanted. 2. Lengthen the tent slightly as there is no slack whatsoever 3. Heavier duty elastic straps or just make them woven nylon without stretch. I expect the elastic straps to stretch out quickly, they're showing signs of it already. All in all, for the price, it is a descent tent.
Looks to be well made and fits the bed of my truck pretty well. Have not used it yet be I have set it up and taken it down several time with no problem. Goes up in about 20 minutes and down in 10. Looking forward to sleeping in it next week on a trip to NC.
I bought this tent 5 years ago, now as a 60 yr. old grandmother who loves going camping w/ my kids and grandkids. It is difficult for me to get up/down on ground. This tent fit my F150 perfectly. I use a step stool to get up into the back of the pickup/tent. My only complaint is there is no bottom, but does effect the rain tightness of this tent. :star:️:star:️:star:️:star:️:star:️

My wife and I just went across the Northwestern United States, through 9 States (13 days) in a Tacoma in this tent. Absolutely amazing experience. 80 mile an hour winds with torrential downpour with hail and we stayed dry. After seeing our trip, my buddy just hit me up today asking where he can get one.

Love this tent did a ton of research and heard all great things. Finally ordered one, got it based off the sizing chart, but when I set it up the first time discovered a rip up one of the corner seams. Had to fix myself and sew on a patch.
