I've had this tent for several years and use it every summer for two-week trips throughout the USA. It has NEVER failed me; I've been rained on several times, in very windy situations without fail, and kept warm in cold situations (low 40's at night). The screen is perfect for dirty clothes, shoes, etc., keeping all of the outside of the sleeping quarters.
I love this tent, It’s so luxurious to have alone but it’s comfy for like 3-4 people max tbh. It’s nice to have ppl come hang on the screened in porch and hang string lights ^_^
I really like this tent. Its roomy inside and the front porch is great. It's a little tricky to put up alone. Next camping trip I'm going to try staking down the corners first. I went in the middle of October so it was a little chili. But i took my infrared heater and the tent stayed nice and warm. It does not have to electric port. But I put it thru the front porch and covered the cord. Since the front porch has no way of covering the screens i put a ez up over the porch. It didn't rain so I could not test it out. I plan on putting tarps on the sides of the ez up. I will take pictures and write another review next camping trip. Thank you
The fist day was raining for about 40 minutes, and we found a leak on two corners and we used some clothes to try to stop the water and we thought we would be good for the night. This morning my daughter woke up really early because she was all wet, and found the mattress all wet on the sides. We spent the day out, it was rainy but just like a little bit (good enough that we went for a bike ride) so it wasn't pouring. And when we came back to the tent we found all our mattresses wet, the water was coming in not just from the corners but from the walls too. It was our first time using the tent due to COVID-19. My kids were so excited. We are supposed to go back home tomorrow but now they are asking to go back today because they don't want to get wet during the night. Our mattresses and all of our belongings are messed up. I will never buy anything from Coleman again! I'm so disappointed and sad. They ruined our first time out of home since COVID-19. It's not fair...
Went to Disneyland in early March and stayed at an RV park down the road. (We love to tent camp). Rain was in the forecast but we’ve been plenty of times we figured it would only be some showers....we were wrong!! It poured the entire time with few breaks in between! The good thing is, our new tent stayed completely dry inside!! The only thing I can say is it was hard to put away.
My family has not yet made it into the wilderness with our tent, but we DID make it to the backyard! It kept my family comfortable in the cool Colorado night, and with PLENTY of space for a family board game. I'm so happy I bought an oversized tent- so fun 😊
Easy 1 minute Pop up tent set up! I say to disassemble as well. 6 person, stable tent with plenty of room for people and your stuff! Coolest tent I ever owned! Rain doesn’t get in the tent with the set up! Has lasted 2 years in the back yard! My kids love it!
I love the design of the tent. A front porch is great for our young boys to take off their shoes before going into tent. However, we had about 12 hrs of steady rain (which is a lot and unusual). Water leaked into all four corners of the tent. The rain drained down the fly and soaked those corners. We were stuffing all of our dirty clothes into the corners to soak up the water. Water also leaked in at the side seams and soaked the toddler blow up bed that pushed up against the side. I did try to deal the seams from the ibside of the tent before we went camping but evidently it wasnt good enough. I will seal it again before we go camping next time. @
The front porch seems like a good idea at first but isn’t actually that useful. It ends up as the ‘mudroom’ to leave shoes, but in rain literally becomes the mudroom. In medium to heavy rain the whole front area, and everything in it gets soaked. Rain also leaked into the sleeping area - presumably from the fine mesh border across the front. The front zipper also broke - likely because of poor design. There is 1 vertical zipper and two horizontal zippers that all meet in the centre. Without opening one of the horizontal zippers along with the vertical zipper (which no one ever does) it puts too much stress on the vertical zipper. Would not recommend this tent.
This is my second week-long camping trip with this tent, and it works great for us. I've been fortunate enough not to get much rain, so I can't say it's been leak-tested, but it's been durable and functional. Very spacious, good pockets, very good ventilation bc of the crossbar on the fly. The vestibule is really good for keeping dirt and bugs out of the main tent, and you can keep your shoes there in the corners where there's some protection from rain. The main part of the vestibule is exposed tho, so clearly anything in there will get rained on. And I was able to assemble it alone, though another adult makes it a lot easier to manage bc of the size. The only issue we have is that some campsites don't have enough space for the tents footprint and it doesn't seem to go up well if the surface isn't level all the way to the corners. So I would only get this tent if you really need this much space.
