Should not be named after indigenous tribe

This pack does what it needs to do, fits okay, meets my needs better than any of the other packs I looked at in the Berkeley REI on the day I bought it. However, it is no longer acceptable to appropriate the names of indigenous tribes to promote products and Gregory should choose another name next time they do a manufacturing run on this model.

I like it!

Comfortable and good ergonomics for this size of pack. I was able to try different brands on and this one had the length needed to get the waist belt low enough and in the right spot. I hiked with it right away and quickly forgot it was even there. Good compartmentalization without going overboard. Wish it had a storable rain cover like my wife’s North Face. Really happy with this purchase anyway.

Great daypack!

My wife has used this pack on several hikes now. It’s been a great pack and is the perfect size for a daypack. The pack is comfortable and has all the features of a larger pack in a small compact size. Thanks for making a great product!

Put this pack to work at five national parks last week

This pack is light, easy to use, comfortable and has many functional pockets. I really liked the hip pouches for my pocket knife and sun block.

Great Day Hiking Pack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this bag. I live in Southern California and typically hike between 12 and 19 miles with about 3000-6000 feet of vertical gain on weekends. The hikes are typically 8 to 12 hours and having this bag really helps save my back and upper traps. The straps are great and it's highly adjustable, which was one of my primary concerns with other bags I tried. I do wish there were more smaller pockets for organization. It's basically one large space outside of the hip pockets and water bladder area. This Miwok 12L comes with a whistle on one of the chest straps.. not sure why the 18 wouldn't. Overall it's an excellent bag for day hikes.

Fantastic Day Pack

When ever I am heading out for a short day hike ( 5-10km long ) I will always bring my Miwok backpack with me. Ive found that its a fantastic backpack and super comfortable. It has an insane amount of room and I am always able to fit everything I need into it.

Excellent lightweight travel backpack

I bought the Miwok 18 for a recent trip to Greece and could not have been more pleased with the backpack. I choose it because it was smaller and lighter than my Northface backpack, and its clever design: There is a designated cushioned pocket for either sunglasses or a cell phone + another small protected pocket in another compartment and a zipper pouch on the waist strap. Even though this is a small pack, it has a compartment for a laptop/tablet and another compartment where I was able to stuff a towel, swimsuit, change of clothes, jacket, and travel guide + I had two water bottles in the side pockets. The pack was extremely comfortable to wear. Highly recommend.

Great while it lasted

Loved the pack. Ability to add hydration, stuff sack, something that with adjustments worked for me at 6’4” and my wife who is a foot shorter. After about a year a strap broke. Made 5 separate attempts to contact Gregory to purchase replacement straps and no response from them at all. Won’t buy Gregory products again, even though it’s the pack I want.

First Gregory!!!

Great backpack for day hike, I purchased this to replace a smaller Camelback hydration pack. Already used on an 11 mile hike at Government Canyon in San Antonio TX and it was perfect, enough space for hydration bag some food and extra water. I packed it heavy but it didn’t fell heavy on my back, the weight was distributed evenly and the shoulder straps are very comfortable. This is my first day pack and it’s awesome, will definitely look at Gregory when I upgrade to a larger bag.

Very happy with this pack

I tried on every daypack at the REI flagship store using a 10lb pillow weights and this was by far the most comfortable. Just back from a couple of hikes in the Olympics and this pack was great. Plenty big for long day hikes and very comfortable at its load capacity. I really like the pockets on the hip belts and the sunglasses strap on the shoulder harness. I'd definitely buy this again.
