The mesh surrounding the frame keeps the pack away from the body which helps a ton to keeps cool on warm days. The hip belts are a nice feature but I can’t see ever truly needing the support with a pack at this size. I will say the hip belt padding is nice around the kidney area and the elasticity is awesome. I appreciate the bladder support and the side pockets are large enough to fit my 1L water bottle if I don’t feel like carrying a bladder. This is a great little back for day hikes but also fits in around town as well. I’ve used this on trail, to the coffee shop, and it even held my toddlers toys for a trip to the park. Very impressed with the pack, especially how comfortable it is. If I had one complaint it would be that the, due to the frame, it doesn’t sit upright and almost always will fall over towards the back. Gregory gave me this free product to try. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gregory gave me this free product to try. This pack is truly all that I expected it would be, and an amazing light weight day pack. The Gregory Arrio 20L has been a great day pack. Capabilities aside, it starts off by simply looking like a strong and visually appealing It has been able handle all the tasks I've asked of it so far, and seems capable of much more. I've used it for general everyday carry, collage classes, short day hikes with my dog and for day trip fishing trips. I'm comfortably able to fit all the essentials in my pack usually with extra room to spare. The cloudcontrol hip belt is fantastic and doesnt leaving pain from uncomfortable rubbing. The cooling mesh works great in conjunction with the backpanel built into the pack. Keep your back dry and cool. Sizing is very easy to adjust and seems to be very universal. The looped zippers are easy to pull providing quick access as well as secure closing. Gear loops and straps are well placed for securing down extra gear. A place I could see being a point of contention for buyers is the lack of storage compartments, while it may not have that the wide main zipper area allows for it to be unzipped very far down allowing for customizable compartmentalizing by the person packing it. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the simplicity of this backpack. There’s no extra straps flapping any where and the two pockets work as they should. I used it doing some uphill access with my splitboard and the pole carry works great. I used it on multiple hikes including an approach to a crag that’s like 1500 vert in a mile while it was 85 degrees. The webbing on the back is not something I’ve had in a pack before and now I’m not sure I can go without it. Perfect ventilation for my sweaty self. I really like the water bottle holders but I do feel like they are a bit too high up it was a bit hard getting a bottle out of there on the go. Not sure if that’s a frame size issue or not. Besides that everything is great thanks for letting me test it out! I will be recommending this pack to my buddies and coworkers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gregory Arrio 20 Unisex pack, which Gregory gave me for free to try, was one of the most comfortable daypacks I’ve tried. The CloudControl aspect of the hip belt was extremely comfortable. It stretched with my movement and never felt restrictive. Stiffer fabric hip belts have often chaffed my hips or felt like they limited my movement. The pack was also nicely lightweight. My main concern was the bag’s capacity. It’s pretty barebones, with a main pocket with reservoir holder/opening, smaller front pocket, and two water bottle pockets. However, it got the job done. Would recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Props to Gregory for designing this daypack. I own around 3 or 4 different packs, and this one easily beats all of them. The back support is amazing, especially because of the suspended mesh back panel, which helps keep your back cool and comfortable. I use it every day for school as a student, and I’ve also taken it on hikes, including a 7-mile hike at Newcastle Park. It performed great the whole time and felt supportive, breathable, and much more comfortable than the other packs I’ve used. The hip belt and adjustable chest strap also add great support when carrying more weight. The one size is definitely true, my friends tried it on and were able to fit into it. It has room for a water bladder and even includes loops to attach your trekking poles.. (
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been really happy with the Gregory Arrio 20 overall. I’ve taken it on multiple hikes and even a couple runs, and it’s comfortable, lightweight, and easy to move in. I especially like the color—it looks great without being over the top. The elastic waist straps are a standout feature too, since they stretch and move with you, letting you bend over and stay active without them digging in or getting in the way. The hydration hose clip is solid as well—it holds the bladder hose very securely, so there’s no risk of it bouncing or flying around while you’re moving. The only downside is when the pack isn’t full—it can bounce around a bit, especially if you’re moving quickly. Adding a couple side compression straps to cinch everything down would make a big difference in overall stability.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave this pack 4 out of 5 stars and a 9/10 recommendation because it performs really well for both school and everyday outdoor use. It’s comfortable, lightweight, and the elastic belt system makes a noticeable difference in how it fits and moves with you. The organization is simple and effective, and the overall build quality feels solid. The only reason it’s not a perfect score is the front pocket design. Without more structure, it can flop open and allow items to fall out if you’re not careful. With a small improvement there, it would easily be a five-star.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pack is meant for daypacking. I felt it should have had more or deeper pockets. My ID came out when I quickly grabbed for my phone and it doublely purposed, that pocket would be heavily used. Working with customers on trips, I can ssee this being a great bag for those going on trips where hiking is involved because it affords all the pack requirements, yet it does not have the bulk of a normal pack and could be used for a great "city" or touring pack.
