I bought this day pack for a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, and it did not disappoint. What initially caught my attention was the description: you don’t just carry this pack, you wear it. That’s exactly how it feels. It’s easily one of the most comfortable packs I’ve ever worn, making it ideal not only for hiking but also for ultra running. Even in the rain, it performed flawlessly, keeping all my gear dry. The layout is excellent: a perfectly spacious main compartment, a smaller pocket for keys, wallet, or phone, a quick-access side compartment for mission-essential gear like first aid supplies or nutrition items, hydration bladder compatibility, an external water bottle sleeve, and an exterior pouch for rain gear or a warming layer. The trekking pole attachment system is another huge plus. All in all, this pack didn’t just live up to my expectations, it exceeded them in every way!
Gregory gave me this free product to try. Update: It has now been over 2 months since I started using this pack. There was only one time that this didn’t go with me only because it was too small for what I needed to carry. I’ve uncovered 1 issue which is really minor but I should note: the hanger for hydration does not work with my Osprey bladders. I still love everything else about the pack and will continue to use it as my primary day pack. When it first arrived, I wasn't sure if the right item was shipped, it didn't seem like a backpack could be in the package. I was immediately impressed with the weight and features of this pack. The features that stand out the most for me are the front entry stretch pocket on the left side for carrying a water bottle. It is easy to access on the go. On the right side is a forward facing zippered pocket for storing snacks or other smaller items. I had my microspikes in the this pocket on my last hike and had no issues with a gloved hand unzipping and retrieving them without taking off the pack. The third feature I'll highlight are the gear loops. I am out on the trails year around and the ability to strap snowshoes to my bag is a requirement. The gear loops along with a couple accessory straps provided a robust carry system and still allowed access to the main compartment and small top pocket. What would I change about this pack? It would be nice if the zippered side pocket had a little more volume or stretch. I carry a lot of gear and that results in a tight fit. Another suggestion would be including straps to connect to the gear loops or carrying items such as snowshoes, crampons, helmet,... This was my first experience with a Gregory and I will definitely be using this pack a lot and will give the rest of the lineup a serious look in the future.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little day pack that fits well in the shoulders and has a nice stream lined fit. The waist is an adjustable elastic that works well for comfort with lighter loads, but has some issues when the pack is heavily loaded. I will use this pack for easier day hikes with less gear, but when on a longer day and need to carry a bit more I will pick a pack with a more traditional waist belt. However if you want a really nice fitting and comfortable day pack for most outings this is an excellent choice. Also the zippers are easy and the outside side pocket can handle a large water bottle easily. Gregory gave me this free product to try.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit was very nice. Elastic belt is a nice innovation The suspension system and yoke is very comfortable Access attachment points for my poles are on the same side as the SINGLE water bottle holder. Really unbalances the pack The pockets are accessible, fabric is durable, weight is appropriate to a day pack. Comfortable with basic 10 essential but where is the 2nd water bottle sleeve? Attachment for hiking poles are are the same side as the water bottle sleeve, hence this is an unbalanced pack once I get it loaded. The 2nd water bottle needs to be put in my pack. Also, the whistle is a weak chirp. Consider upgrading.
After day hiking in the alps for 2 weeks with this bag I would say overall it is worth the price and works well. However there are some things that need to be addressed. 1. The waist strap should be removable as it’s quite large and keeps you from using the bag for other things 2. The waist strap loosens up every time you undue it so you have to re adjust constantly. 3. The little plastic pieces that hold the excess waist strap dig into you after hiking for awhile. 4. The trekking pole attachments are annoying to use. Other than that great day pack. With those couple adjustments I’d definitely buy an updated model!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gregory absolutely hit it out of the park with this pack. Gregory gave me this free product to try. I am so incredibly impressed with the functionality, versatility, and quality. This pack can do it all. From stylish frisbee golf/work days to conquering 14ers. The Gregory pack is my new daily driver. There's a side zip pocket for easy secure storage, as well as a large oversized water bottle holder that stretches to fit all bottle sizes securely. I also love the stretchy waist strap. Makes for an insanely comfy fit. I absolutely recommend this product to professionals looking to upgrade their daily driver.
Got this backpack for day hikes and it's great, fits everything I need just right. It also uses it's space well, with not too many pockets. Top pocket for keys and cards, side zipper for snacks, open side for phone, front pouch for first aid and other quick access stuff, main pocket for lunch, water, and jacket. Exactly what I was looking for and fits my body well to boot.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclaimer: Gregory gave me this free product to try. This pack is great. I used it for work and on my mountain bike. There is plenty of storage all throughout the pack. The zipper loops are awesome, and this packs ability to repel water is excellent. The waste strap is stretchy which makes it very comfortable as well. My only complaint was when I was carrying around my laptop which is a bit heavy, the shoulder straps seemed to want to creep outward as if the pack would fall off my shoulders. It never happened and the chest strap helped, but it just had that feeling of outward pulling.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gregory gave me this product to test, and I've found that the quality of the bag is much better than what I've heard about Gregory in the past. I used it for skiing, hiking, and as a daily bag for sports. What I've found is that it's pretty much perfect for all three. The singular pocket provides ample room for all my gear, where often times smaller bags with more pockets might not be able to be well organized. One thing I'm iffy on is the elastic waist belt. It feels nice, but often gets uneven and can get very annoying. The bag fits nice otherwise, and the back mesh is very nice. Overall it's a great bag, and the size is just perfect for a daypack skiing or hiking, and also as an every day bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the opportunity to use the Gregory Kiro 24 Day Pack for both hiking and my daily commute, and I was thoroughly impressed. The pack's adjustable suspension system and padded shoulder straps ensured it was comfortable to wear, even during long hikes. Its 24-liter capacity provided ample space for overnight gear, while the numerous pockets kept my essentials organized, making it easy to transition to work mode. The durable, weather-resistant materials gave me confidence during various conditions, and the sleek design felt right at home in the city. Overall, the Kiro 24 has been an excellent, versatile companion for both outdoor adventures and everyday use, truly exceeding my expectations!
