Too long for 17” frame. Actual pack length is 19”

For fall people. Frame is 19” long and digs into low back/sacrum. I am 5’4” and returned it. Great pack and was so excited to use it, but should be labeled L/XL. Not OS. I need a S/M length.

Underwhelmed

This is my first Gregory Pack and I’ve been using it for months now and have one major complaint. The sternum strap is hands down the worst in the industry, complete garbage, it won’t stay put under any circumstances. Also the straps are about three inches longer than any other daypack I have and this causes an unusual problem for me. When the straps are snugged up, because they are so long, it positions the glide buckle between my side and bicep and will rub my arm raw in short order. Something you may want to consider too is the length of the pack, if you have a short torso, like 16" and below, this pack might be too long for you. I did also notice quite a few untrimmed strings (threads), but for the price I guess that’s to be expected. I do like the organization and the weight of the pack, but overall I’m just very underwhelmed. I feel like this pack is kind of designed for inactive people, like mall walkers and errand runners, but for hikers, it’s pretty subpar. I have switched back to another daypack, the sternum strap on the Nano 18 is beyond frustrating. Anyway, hope this helps someone and keep hiking!

Great compact daypack, simple hydration system

This pack is the perfect size for day hikes or summer camp use. I use the 3 liter Gregory hydration bladder which fits the pack seamlessly. The main pocket is roomy and can accommodate the ten essentials. I've used it for 4 years and have not seen any deterioration. Only thing I would change would be to add a padded waist belt with pockets that can be accessed without removing the pack. Even loaded with a full water pack and day gear it is still comfortable.

Dont hesitate to buy this backpack!

I bought two of these at Death Valley a couple of years ago. The more we use them, Im amazed at how well engineered and crafted this unit is. Somebody really knew from experience what was important. It was made for hikers. Not a fashion accessory. i dont hesitate to recommend this backpack. but we, my wife and I really only needed one.

Good, but…

Good quality and stylish bag. However, it’s very, very narrow. My 3rd grader can’t even fit his water bottle and lunchbox inside the main compartment. Certainly not practical for a yuppie commuter either. Dimensions on website suggest it could wider than it is (10.6in versus 7.9in.) Thankfully it’s not overpriced.

A lot going for the Nano 18

There’s a lot to like in the Nano 18, but I find that the stretch mesh on the side pockets is too loose, so water bottles tend to easily slip out. Really hope this can be improved.

Perfect for my bike commute.

It's perfect for my bike ride to work. Everything I need (minus lunch) fits easily. Really thoughtful placement of compartments and zippers.

Versatile smaller pack

Smaller but exactly what I was looking for. Excellent for hiking under ten miles and for travel. Love the color and design

Fantastic day hike bag. Super comfortable even with the added weight of personal items and adequate water.
