Excellent car camping & emergency stove

I purchased this stove late spring. Wow -- 30,000 btus!! I used it up at Lake Tahoe and again at Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite. I noticed other campers using this stove and the fancier model. We were all cooking fabulous meals. Controlling the heat was easy - even on the windy afternoons. ( I placed a wind break behind the back of the unit.) If you don't use the heat diffuser over the burner when using the cast iron grill, you will notice hotter area in the back corners and cooler spots where the flame breaks because of the fuel lines. I use the diffusers over the burners all the time so my pots and pans don't burn. The red shelves cannot hold weight like a pot or heavy pan, but it's good for condiments and tools. The tool holder accessory is great; the paper towel accessory is not (there is no way to keep the roll from spinning in the wind). Because it can use the larger propane tanks, I got a week's use, every breakfast and dinner (with the smaller 3 gal tank)(cooking for 12 people). I keep my tanks filled at home. On hot weather days, instead of heating up my house, I use the stove outside. In case of disaster (earthquake country over here), I'll have a robust, reliable stove. (I don't think I'll need the Viking/Wolf stove I've been coveting. )

An awesome piece of equipment - highly recommended

I imported this from the US of A to Scotland as I had heard so many positive reviews and watched you tube videos. Upon receipt I had to swap out the gas regulator; a relatively simple process. After testing for gas leaks I fired up the burners and boy, are they powerful. I boiled 4 gallons of water in just over 10 minutes using the Camp Chef Aluminium water urn. This is an extremely well made and functional gas stove - and extremely portable too. I'm a Camp Chef convert - please set up a distributor in Scotland!! :-)

Best Outdoor Stove Available!

I purchased this stove a couple of months ago and have since been on 2 week long hunts with this stove and it cant be beat. I hunt at elevation 9000 feet and have always used a brand well known for camping equipment. It took about 45 minutes to boil water or get my coffee perking. With this new stove I can have my water at a hard boil in 5 minutes. It is no longer a major waste of time for food prep leaving more time to enjoy the outdoors. Buy one, you will not regret it.

Wonderful outdoor cooking

We love our camp chef cook stoves. We own two, One two burner and one 3 burner. we use the two burner on camping trips. The three burner we have on our patio for family cookouts. The griddle is a must accessory. Cooks steaks to perfection. We also have two dutch ovens that we use on our camp chef stove. We make camp fire beans, chicken pot pie, and wonderful layered potatoes in them.

Great stove

Purchased this stove a few weeks ago to burn down some maple sap to make maple syrup and the stove was outstanding. Ran the stove for over 7 hours on one tank of propane. The stove provided plenty of heat. Looking forward to using the stove this summer for camping and outdoor cooking by the pool. Very happy and satisfied so far.

Extremely Relialble

I've literally used this hot-burning stove hundreds of times camping across the U.S. The It's been incredibly reliably - much more reliable than past stoves I've tried. The rings the pots sit on are rusted but this thing keeps plugging away. Sorry Camp Chef - I give it another five years of fairly brutal usage.

Huge pot of chili in no time. This stove produces ridiculous heat!

We could not have the great food we do at deer camp with out this awesome stove. During the cool fall evenings, the 30,000 BTU burners put out more than enough heat to cook us a huge pot of Chili in no time to warm up. I would recommend this stove to any one!!!

Item does not correctly match 14" accessories

I bought this stove to use with the single 14" grill box and single 14" flat top griddle. Due to uneven cooking I quickly noticed that the burners do not properly center under ether accessories. Major fail Camp Chef.

Great stove

Never had failed in four years of deer camp. Camp cooking three meals a day for 20 days each of those season. Only one complaint is the hoses is not long enough. It need to be at least six feet not 2 ft.

Great high BTU Dual burner stove

Multi use dual burner, much better than pairing up two single burners. The actual burner inside is of great build quality and is easily adjustable for perfect blue flame.
