The Skullet is the ultimate all season crusher. Absolutely love the multi functionality of being a heat and ambiance source, as well as portable cooking powerhouse. The tripod base brings everything up to where you want it whether you are chilling under a canopy, searing up brats for an army, or boiling a giant pot of water for a feast of crab - the Skullet has BTU’s for days. The spark ignition system makes it a breeze to light up so you never have to remember matches or a lighter and the screw on handle makes carrying remarkably manageable for a longer haul or just a short move to the side when it’s still hot. The Skullet is my new go-to for car or trailer camping - thanks Ignik - keep on innovating!!!
Really have enjoyed the dual purpose of the Skullet!! It has been great to cook on the Skillet. I was surprised how well you can regulate the flame for cooking on the skillet. It breaks down to a very compact unit that conserves space that is critical overlanding or in a van. The tripod is great and adjusting for cooking or bringing the heater to the right level for warmth sitting around it. Ignik nice Job! I do recommend sanding the skillet down a little smoother then it came and seasoning it in your oven a couple times.. It’s truly nonstick now :)
I’ve been using the IGNIK Skillet Deluxe Stove Cook Set on overlanding trips, camping weekends, and casual hangouts with friends—and it’s been awesome every time. The burners have great flame control, and the skillet heats super evenly. I’ve cooked full breakfasts, burgers, stir fry, and even late-night quesadillas on it, and everything comes out great. As an outdoor professional who teaches survival and bushcraft skills, I’ve used all kinds of cooking setups over the years—and this has become my go-to. It’s reliable, well-built, and makes cooking in the field feel like cooking at home. It’s also a great social piece—friends always end up gathered around while we cook and hang out. If you like good food and good company outdoors, this stove is totally worth it.
We used the Skullet over the weekend and really loved the amount of heat it put out. It worked great overall. One concern we had was that the side with the logo looked like it may have warped a bit. The cast iron plate was amazing, although it did get a little covered in soot, which wasn’t ideal. I also picked up a carrying case for it, which feels like a must-have accessory. Overall, we’re really happy with the purchase and definitely love it. I am including a picture of the cases.
I have been using this in the cool weekend evenings. It's really nice to use as fire pit. Easy to use, everything feels great, propane hose even feels good, was thinking there would be a cheap part somewhere, but everything is solid. Love how it collapses. Can't wait to cook on the skillet, which has some good weight to it and looks good. Just wish it came with a carry bag or least to purchase, but otherwise I would recommend getting one, you won't be disappointed.
Total game changer. I retired my Buddy Heater after just one trip with this. The adjustable tripod places the warmth exactly where you need it, and the heat output is significantly higher. Plus, the wok feature means I can go car camping without a propane stove. If you are on the fence about upgrading, just do it. Product request: a heat deflector accessory that screws into the top handle mount, and carrying bags for the heater and the wok.
The SKULLET is awesome, not only is it a great campfire, but I love using it as a heater! And when using the additional legs I can bring the heat up to the level of where we are sitting. We have been using the SKULLET on the patio, on the back porch and of course during camping outings. Cooking on the skillet top at camp has been really fun and has challenged me to come up with new ways to feed the crew when out on adventures.
I freaking love this thing! I use it camping and I use it at home. Easy to cook on. Easy set up. Packs well. I carry a 3.8 tank which makes the entire set up only about an extra 20ish pounds. I've used it in 30°F temps and I love how the shape throws heat to everyone around the flame. Ive also made everything on it, burgers, eggs, coffee, it has eliminated a lot of equipment for me. It's my best camping investment yet!
I've tried a few disk cookers over the years and have never been very enamored by them until trying the Skullet. To start with, the Skullet provides a great warming fire to gather around at camp or on the patio at home. The adjustable legs allow it to be used while sitting or standing, and the built-in ignitor makes ignition easy. When it's time to cook, the fold-out supports can accommodate the included skillet or a variety of pots and pans. I used a regular pot to boil water and the Ignik cast iron skillet to prepare everything from eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast, sausages for lunch, and steak, fish, and loads of vegetables for dinner. The Skillet is large enough to fit protein and vegetables on at the same time, and move things around to manage the heat and cooking temperatures. It worked so well at camp that when I got home, I used it to meal prep for the upcoming week.
The Skullet is a game changer for outdoor cooking! It’s super easy to use and heats up fast, making it perfect for camping trips or backyard grilling. The design is sturdy and well-built. I only wish they add a carrying bag in the future, that would make it even more convenient. Overall, it’s a solid piece of gear for anyone who loves cooking outdoors!
