Tried briefly. Well made. Not the cheap ones from Walmart. Very nice case as well. Internal parts seem well made. Seem like it will last many years! Great price. Also REI does not allow dog's....

Perfect camping stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little butane stove. I like that it’s butane and not propane. It’s easier to use and comes in a great carrying case. I’m moving on from my old camping stove. This has replaced it. The stove also has a great locking feature so you can make sure the butane is secure.

Compact and cute, but underpowered

With the kids grown, I wanted to downsize from our 2-burner Camp Chef propane stove to something more portable. These Xcursion stoves are featured prominently in-store and had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Pros: - Doesn't take up much space - Includes a carrying case that doesn't contact food when cooking - Easy to use - Great simmer control Cons: - Really slow to boil water; has less than half the BTU output of my old propane campstove - No way to check remaining fuel level while cooking - Fuel cylinders aren't refillable, and there is no adapter to a refillable cylinder. Yay more trash. - Doesn't seem like it will do well in wind. Our flame (on low) blew out once in relatively still air. I'll probably give it one more trip before returning it, but for my use, the benefits don't outweigh the drawbacks.
