Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and light, great base layer! I bought this for a 5-day trip into the Enchantments. I was looking for something that was thin, but could still provide warmth. This did both! It acted great as a base layer under a puffy coat and was breathable and great for hiking wearing it on it's own. I washed it in the backcountry and it dried super quick which is a huge plus. Fits longer which is also great. Not itchy despite being wool, worth the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Shirts Ever I have three of these shirts, in several colors. I wear them hiking & paddling & non-stop on long treks. Here in Maine I have one on as my go-to base layer for eight months of the year. The wool is silky soft, they never get smelly no matter how many days or miles I've been sweating into them & they wash easily & dry fast. Best of all, & so important for an outdoor life, they are comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I mean, what more do you want? Oh - yes - they look good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really smart! So well made! Of course, you'd expect something in this price range to be made well but, wow! Seams are all flat sewn and all the edges are finished with a lovely, stretch binding. Length is perfectly long enough to tuck or not without inching up or bunching up under a hip belt. Sizing seems accurate. I'm a sz 10 on top with broad shoulders. I ordered a large just to be safe but, I could have gotten away with a medium for a closer fit. The neckline fits a little looser than I prefer but, no biggy! Wish I would have snagged the leggings while black was still in stock at the clearance price. Can't wait to put my smart wool to the test. Very pleased so far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My favorite shirt I took this shirt traveling through all of South America with me and I loved it so much. It was always perfect and was never too smelly. I could even wear it in the jungle where it was really hot but I wanted something to help with the mosquitos. The only problem with it is that it did not hold up very well, and when i got home i had to get a new one. The sleeve cuffs unraveled pretty fast and eventually the neck did too. So overall i really recommend this shirt, but it cannot tolerate too much abuse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Wore this while backpacking in mountains in 40s to low 60s temperature in cloudy, partly cloudy, misting, and raining conditions and was very comfortable! Great to layer with or wear alone and regulates your temperature nicely as a base layer. I would definitely buy this again if needed. My husband also wears one. It has a slight itch but it's honestly not something I noticed after the first time I wore it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fraying after two uses I really loved this top when I first bought it, but one of the sleeves began to fray after only two uses and one wash. I take extremely good care of my clothing and definitely didn't expect an $80 shirt to already be damaged after one day of casual wear and a light hike...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best find around the world I am susceptible to cold and had a hard time planning for a recent trip around the world that went from the tropics to mountains. This top was the perfect base layer, and sometimes just shirt. The fit and size were dead on, the comfort was the highest. I now have 3 and wish they were made in a couple more colors. They dry very quickly and are lightweight enough to be comfortable under almost any garment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Fit and Versatile I debates buying this top because of the price however I'm very glad I did. It is so multipurpose I wonder why I doubted the purchase. I took it on vacation to Australia and New Zealand and wore it mltiple times alone and as a bottom layer when hiking and kayaking. It has a great fit and I like wearing it with jeans or khakis for a casual outfit. Washes well and looks great.
