Smartwool  Intraknit Thermal Max Merino Quarter-Zip Base Layer Top - Women's

Superb, for me. All of the complaints in other reviews are correct, but even so, it is perfect for me. I don't care that it pills and snags a bit. It is just right in terms of warmth and comfort. When I wear it in the fall doing outdoor work I never get too hot or cold, and I think that's due to the Intraknit weave. The shape is perfect for me. I am 5' 9"", ~145 lbs, athletic but slender, and size large is a close-fitting, perfect fit, and I am so thankful that it has enough length to reach down to my hips (I need the length in the body to stay warm). If you are looking for a loose-fitting piece, maybe look at another piece.

I have been wearing Smart wool products since they launched and consider myself a follower of wool innovation however the 250 Intraknit base layer starting unraveling within 24 hrs of receiving it! Warrantee was quick to respond and I was able to return the guaranteed product after a week of sending photos and emails. Overall greatly disappointed from this as it has been the most expensive 250msg category base layer for me to take apart in such little time:-(

I bought this sweater and 3 others based on a purchase of a similar sweater I have had for the past 5 years. The quality of your product is amazing! That sweater was and still is my all time favorite. I moved from California to Colorado and purchased it for the colder weather and it was part of my winter daily wear, washed so many times and still looks new and of course keeps me super warm!

This is a wonderful sweater!!! Keep making these like this--love how long it is & fitted on the bottom!! I can't stand all of the short, squatty tops that are abundant but not enough sweaters like this one where it's LONG & LEAN!! Love how it fits and it's still not too tight. Love the fabric also and how the arms feel too. Love the light weight warmth also!!

I love this pullover. Nice fitted design and very warm. I'm in the northeast where we have been having Arctic cold weather and this pullover is perfect. Paired with a Smartwool base layer top, I'm comfortable. This will be a Must Pack for winter trips. I usually wear a medium to large and have needed large this year in Smartwool - I recommend sizing up.

The perfect addition to your wardrobe! Not only is this base layer warm and comfortable, it looks great on. I feel equally as comfortable wearing this out on a hike or to work, just add the appropriate pants and shoes, and it looks great around a casual work office. I am already looking for more of this style in other colors to add to my wardrobe

I have worn this approximately 10 times in the past 6 months. The quality is pretty terrible especially for the cost. It started pilling after the first wear and the threads started coming undone after about 5. The only redeeming quality is that it provides the perfect amount of warmth, but that's what you would expect from wool anyway.

This base layer does not seem to be much warmer or better than the original intraknit thermal merino base layer. It is not as form fitting nor is it as comfortable. It seems to be more appropriate for wearing as a mid layer rather than a base layer since it is pretty loose and scratchy.

I bought this base layer because it looks nice and was on sale. It is comfortable and fits well. But after washing it, it started to pill more than I'd hoped. I'm not sure if it'll last very long because of this. It's nice, but just be aware it might not stay looking new for too long.

For decades, I've relied on Smartwool lightweight base clothing to make it through the winter comfortably. For decades, I've washed smartwool gently in cold water and dried it by air. It has held its shape, and (though a bit expensive) has proved to be a remarkably good value. This year, I added this Intraknit 250 heavyweight top. It arrived on the eve of a cold snap in the mountains, so I put it right on and left it on for 24 hours. I was so comfortable in it and pleased with the purchase, until I took it off to wash it--WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. I saw that it had snagged and pilled somehow, in multiple spots. (This top was only in contact with soft, well-washed materials. I cannot explain what happened to it, unless it came this way and I didn't notice it. ) On another note, the bottom seam needs to be made as wide as the rest of the top; otherwise, it has an odd, gathered fit at the legs. I need something now. This is warm and comfortable, so I will keep it and hide it under other clothing because it looks terrible.
