Smartwool  Thermal Merino Rib Turtleneck Base Layer Top - Women's

This is such a great piece! It looks cute with jeans and I've also worn it hiking. Pretty contoured to the body. I'm usually a small or medium and tried both but opted for the medium. The small fit but pulled in areas or hugged too snugly to be as flattering, and this is coming from someone who prefers my clothing very fitted. I'm 5'10, hourglass with a small chest, 165 pounds.

Got this sweater in navy and absolutely loved the fit and look. I feel like I could wear it to work, for a walk or ski, to dinner, basically anywhere.However, on day one of wearing it, I was very disappointed to learn how easy the sweater snagged. That day I noticed snagging on the wrists, which I realized was because i was wearing a puffy vest over it with zippered pockets. Very disappointing given the durability and reliability of all of the many other smartwool products I have owned.

I liked the look of this turtleneck in the online pics and was so pleased when I received it and found that the sweater looked great, was soft, and it felt great to wear. Unfortunately, after 2 hours of light wear, the forearms were both badly pilled and snagged. The sweater was not the usual quality I expect from Smartwool.

This is a size M; I'm 39-29-40 and am 5'7. ' Please please please make some bright colors!

I was disappointed in the quality. I purchased two last winter in Heather and gray, and loved them! Perfect thickness for warmth and stand alone without outer sweater. This new one is so thin, you can see the outline and color of my bra, and I will have to wear something over it.

I just got this rib turtleneck recently, so I can't speak to it's durability, but I love it! It's very soft, stretchy, comfortable, and warm. I don't usually like the bulk of wearing a turtle neck, but this one is perfect. It's on the thinner side, but perfect for wearing it a variety of places, not just outdoor activities. I can easily wear this to a nice dinner. I usually wear a Small in most clothing, but I often need to size up with Smartwool tops. The Med fits a little loosely. Small was slightly too tight. I'm 5'3"" and weigh 126 lbs.

Returning this item because of the snagging issue. The first time I wore it out to dinner and a movie, small snags happened and it didn't catch on anything that I could see. Disappointed because I love the dark purple color and the fit and I wanted to keep this because of the style but can't justify the expense for an item with this level of poor quality.

Had (3) loose threads at the time of delivery, (1) in the knit itself, and (2) in the selvage overstitching binding and sealing the sleeve pieces together. These would have ruined the whole sleeve in short time with normal wear/washing. I was comfortable mending it with thread and a needle straight out of the bag, so it's a non issue and this otherwise wonderful warm comfy cute turtleneck will now last me a great while. But something to be aware of

I purchased this tutrleneck in Carmel, Ca on 2/13/24. I wore it twice. On February 14, it had numerous snags on both sleeves. It is basically ruined after approximately 12 days! Hopefully smart wool will refund or credit me with this purchase. However, after reading another review from someone who pruchased the same turtleneck, and experienced the same snagging problem , smart wool did not honor her request for a refund nor credit!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in Bleached Aqua Heather and I love it. I was a little wary because of the other reviews that say it snags easily but so far I haven't had that problem. I'm actually wearing it right now and I love the color and the weight. I'm 5'3"", 117 lbs and the size small is flattering without being too tight. I also love that it's a true turtleneck and not a mock. Although I'm entering the #sweepstakes, my review is honest.
