Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, great price You can't beat the value on this one. I used it in the malaria capital of the world... Lots of mosquitos and I never got bit!!! My friends who used other brands got a lot of bites. I definitely recommend this product with only 40% deet... Not as harsh on your skin or clothes. Incredible product and value!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This works great!!! I just returned from a second trip to South Sudan. Malaria from mosquito bites is a very real concern. On both trips, I used Repel and never had one bite. Friends on the trip using other repellants were stung repeatedly. I bought a second bottle because it worked so well the first time. I will continue to rely on this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes you invisible to blood-seeking insects Wherever you spray this, you will not be bitten. Be sure to spray or smear on any exposed skin. In some places those insects are tenacious and will find your unsprayed spots, like in-between fingers and right below the bill of your cap.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective, but sticky I bought this to bring on safari in South Africa, and while it was effective in keeping the bugs away, it was very sticky on my skin, and a thick milky residue built up around the nozzle and cap. Works, but you need to shower before doing anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great Just returned from a trip to North Manitou Island in Lake Michigan and we forgot to put on the bug repellent and we were getting ate alive. Once we put this on the bugs were gone, never had an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insect repellant that seems to work This is my fifth bottle of this product. Since I started using it, I have not been bit by flying insects like I was before. Bugs seem to love me but this really helps to keep them off me.

Can you apply sunscreen below or on top of this? Approximately how many applications does 6 Oz. last? I plan to treat my clothes (long sleeve and long pants) with Permethrin so I assume I would only need to apply this to my hands, ankles, face and neck.

Asked by: EL123
You can use the Repel Sportsmen with sunscreen. The CDC recommends putting the sunscreen on first and then the repellent. One application of the Repel Sportsmen offers 6 hours of protection.
