Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very bad I guess you shouldn't mix cheap with lightweight. I bought this 5 months ago and used it occasionally, perhaps once or twice a week. You're probably assuming it snapped from me bending it back in forth. This is incorrect. The metal around the handle literally split in half when I was slicing a carrot downward, the correct way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp thin and light Very sharp from the get go . Razor like. We'll have to see how the blade holds the edge. It's not the most sturdy thing, but for thinly slicing foodstuff, it'll beat out any of the knives in my pack. My major concern is that the sheath doesn't seat well to the knife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good knife for field cooking When I saw this knife at REI I immediately bought it. I like a cooking knife with a thin blade that is easy to keep sharp. We'll see how well the edge holds up, but it should be easy to keep sharp. The sheath needs something to keep it attached to the blade when you pack it. It can easily slip out on its own and if kept sharp (as it should be) could do some damage. YMMV

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice camp kitchen knife I bought this to bring along on my boundary waters trip. It was sharp enough to cut my hand on a slip up, first use. That's a good thing. I am very happy with it, its light weight and sharp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backcountry Cooking to the Next Level I've been looking for a kitchen knife to complete my backcountry kitchen kit for some time now... never finding the right one. Then I happened to discover this knife and snatched it up right away! It is affordable, comes with a lightweight blade cover, and is the perfect size to fit in my kit. I can make so many more recipes now that I have this knife!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp, easy and safe to pack We used to pack our expensive, high-end kitchen knives, which were difficult to stow safely. These have been handy and effective for downsized camp use. Importantly, the sheath protects both the blade and our hands as we search for items among our gear. It was a good, durable addition to our kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Knife I finally purchased a real knife for the camp kitchen. It will be very nice not to use the leatherman for everything. This knife is well-made and very light. I keep this knife in my kitchen drawer at home and use it often. It is sharp and has a good blade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value, cover could use a bit of work though I've used this knife for car camping quite a few times, it cuts very well and is easy to clean. Definitely light enough to take backpacking. The cover is not as secure as I would like but it's still a great value.
