I bought this because I was tired of having to always pickup my paper towels off of the ground and brushing them off. I got frustrated enough that I used some paracord to make my own hanger for the paper towels. Then I saw this and bought it. Best upgrade I have bought in a minute. Simple product, that is quite versatile. Easily transportable and a wide variety of mounting options or ability to hang it wherever.

Good protective cover

Prior to finding this product, we would keep our paper towel roll while tent camping in a large plastic bag meant for storing homemade bread. I love how the Kelty provides a thick, protective cover. So far, we've only used it inside our camper but I imagine it will be great outdoors especially in rainy weather. If you aren't careful when tearing a sheet, the next sheet will be inside the flap and you have to fish it out. So we've learned it's better to pull out about an inch of the next sheet before tearing off the sheet you want to take, making the next sheet easier to grab. We've also only used it standing up, not hanging horizontally. I've seen other reviews elsewhere that say it's difficult to use when the paper towel gets low. Thus far, we've only used it with a full roll inside, so I can't comment on that yet. The flap does have three velcro fasteners to keep it closed when needed.
