Excelelnt for active, side sleepers

I pair my 30-deg, Long Anvil Horn to a BA Rapide SL 25x78 pad. Note that you must have a quality insulated pad for this sleep system, as there is no insulation in the back (for good reason). I'm an active side sleeper and I've never slept better. Having the bag tethered to the mattress pad has been transformational and I simply cannot believe more bag manufacturers haven't done this. I no longer am chasing my mummy bag all night, sleeping on the zipper, and waking up with my bag completely inverted. Now I can toss, turn, stretch, and move ... and the bag stays right where it's supposed to be. It's a very bed-like experience. It's a little wider than a regular mummy bag and the attachment adds more material weight. Also, the 650 fill isn't as compressible as I'd like. But, I'll gladly pay the small weight and volume penalty for such a good night's sleep. Just keep in mind that the temp rating, like all bags, is a survival rating. You'll survive at 30 degrees. You won't die, but you won't be comfortable. I have had this bag into the low to mid 40s and I was on the edge of being cold. So, stay on the north side of ~42 degrees and you should be fine (with a good >4.5 R rated pad).

Make sure you have a compatible sleeping pad

Has worked amazing for me on roughly ~35 nights, and has kept me warm and comfortable down to 40 degrees so far. Lightweight and packs down to a nice size. The only drawback would be that it has no insulation on the back and uses an elastic/mesh system to attach to a sleeping pad. Wasn't an issue for me as it works with my BA Divide.

Great Bag

After returning another bag because the zippers got stuck, I purchased this one. I tried it out in the back yard this weekend when temperatures dropped into the low 40s. I was warm and slept pretty darn good until my wife woke me up. I will add that I did have Rapid SL insulated pad underneath. I liked that the bag had pockets to hold the pad in place, and a pocket to keep the pillow in place.
