This bag is literally the best! I bought and returned quite a few bags before I found this one. As an all over the place kind of sleeper, I absolutely love the extra room you can create with the side zippers. Also, as a plus size girl who sometimes fluctuates in weight, the side expansion zippers allow me the comfort of knowing that I'm going to fit no matter what. It's incredibly warm too. Only downside, the compression bag isn't the best. I had to replace before taking it on a backpacking trip. Other than that, I would highly recommended this bag!
I bought this for my daughter. We go hiking and camping often, and I wanted her to have a proper bag, but a light enough one that I didn’t feel like I was adding a bag of rocks to my pack (she’s 5 and therefore I’m carrying 90% of the gear). This fits the size/weight (did I mention that with a compression sack, the petite will go down to around 6L?!?!), plus she reports that she is “super warm” even as low as 23F in this… so that’s useful info for the rating (she does sleep warm).
Comfortable but definitely not 20F rated. I’ve used this twice in 45 degree weather, wearing layers, and was really cold.
This bag has a great design - the ability to expand it so it is more comfortable is great. However, the first time I used it the zipper broke or was defective to begin with so that when I opened it I could not zip back up - it just came apart. Not comfortable getting out in bad weather only to have the zipper malfunction. I returned it and bought another brand
Great quality, spacious and felt warm but it doesn't compress down as much as it claims, it took up about half of my 55l backpack, even after using a compression sack, so sadly had to return it
I absolutely love this bag. Camped in 30 degree weather in the rain and was snug and cozy!
I purchased this from the REI in Burbank, It's on a good Labor Day sale so I was able to purchase this, when I went to pick it up yesterday, The employee brought it to me for the curbside pickup and the sleeping bag was not even in its protective purple sack. It was stuffed into its black netting and left unprotected like that at the store. I'm very disappointed about REI... I never get that kind of service from Walmart and other stores that's for sure... And REI doesn't even have an exchange policy which is absolutely ridiculous! They charge you hundreds of dollars for merchandise and they don't even allow you to exchange products that they sell. If they are selling something as used, they should label it as used not brand new!
I'm 4'10 and wear a women's size 12, and this sleeping bag worked perfectly for me. I got the petite length and it was a little snug before I used the expanders, but after loosening up one side, it was a perfect fit. Only complaint is that it's a little bulky. Not heavy, just takes up a bit of space in my bag.
I had the same experience as another customer––my bag did not come with a stuff sack. The description states that the back includes a mesh storage stack and a stuff sack; however, I only received the bag and a large mesh storage sack. Pretty useless to me without the stuff sack, so I will be returning. The bag feels warm and comfortable but the side paneling thing is a little too much for me. I think I'd prefer a simpler bag and one that actually comes with a stuff sack.
Really like this bag so far. Comfy and expandable. It’s my first new bag in years! What a treat.
