Good, sturdy vest. Not quite unisex.

I'm not a fan of drinking my liquids through tubes. This vest is a great find because it holds squeeze water bottles for longer runs. My only complaint is that it is not quite "one size fits all." I'm a petite woman and even on the tightest fitting it is still a little too big. In order to wear it comfortably I need to wear a thicker shirt underneath it to keep it from jostling.

Not for me

I returned this item because, despite the description of it being ergonomically shaped, it did not lay flat on me when I tried it on. I also struggled significantly with getting a bottle into and out of the back pockets. I don't know if I was missing something, or maybe it would get easier with practice, but the magnets were really strong and I couldn't open them easily with one hand.

Absolutely LOVE this vest!

The UltrAspire Momentum 2.0 Hydration vest is the first vest I’ve tried with rear flask carrying holsters. They are situated perfectly and I will never go back to front flask carrying pouches! I’ve used this vest from everyday shorter training runs to a 50 mile ultra marathon. I cannot say enough good things about this vest. No rubbing or chaffing bc of the unique front bungee closure system. With enough room to pack everything you could possibly need.

My go to vest for long training runs or races!!!

The Momentum 2.0 is a massive step forward from the 1.0 version. The material is lighter and way more breathable! The ERGO FIT and bungie style attachment allows for easy breathing and a comfortable fit. Albeit I had to start stretching to get use to getting in and out of the vest pockets from the rear but truthfully they are EPIC!! solid fit and placement once you strengthen your muscles and flexability to ge the bottles allows for more room up front for nutrition if you choose not to wear shorts/tights with pockets to keep them in! All in all it was my go to vest for all my races this year up to 50 miles!!! Love everything about the vest!

Amazing during my first ultra

I used the momentum 2.0 during my Tushar mountain 100k ultra back in 2020. The weather was warm and I felt this vest was perfect in the heat. I never needed more storage and held poles, 3 bottles, bags of chips and spare clothing. I love the smart magnet locations which secure bottles.

Poor fit for a gal with a chest!

A women-specific fit is needed. In typical women’s sizing I wear medium, but because I have breasts, the size guide indicated I needed a medium in this vest (despite men’s sizing). The medium vest gaps A LOT at the front of the chest when tightened. (My other vests from a different company don’t do this.) Worse, the tops of the bottles hit my elbows on my arm swing - even when the bottles are properly stowed in back. It seems to be too wide across my back, placing the bottles too far out. Overall, I’m super disappointed and can’t use it.

Best vest for running

By far my most favorite vest I have ever run in. I love not having to have the bottles weigh me down in the front of my vest, and be able to use that storage for my nutrition or anything else. It is super light, and breathable too.

Great vest for minimal runners

I got this vest right before the Massive MidState 100 miler. I needed something that was lightweight, durable but also could hold plenty of stuff. This vest worked great. It has very thin and stretchy pockets in all the right places that hold my gear down with out bouncing but also the pockets are positioned perfectly for me so I could reach everything I needed without too much effort. Being able to carry bottles in the back kept them from bouncing and since it has such a small footprint I didn’t overheat.

Critical stitching failed after 10 miles

The water bottle retention is dependent on two things, the magnetic clasp and the elastic drawstring. If either of those fail, the water bottles flop around on your back or fall out. Well, the anchor stitching for the elastic drawstring failed after 10 miles of running, rendering the left side water bottle pocket useless. The sad thing is, I never actually ran long enough with the vest to have to retrieve and replace the water bottle on the left side, so the drawstring essentially broke just holding a full bottle. Too bad, because I thought this vest was quite comfortable and breathable, and I liked the water bottles on the back as they felt balanced and stable. Other than the poor stitching, I also did not like the length of the elastic drawstrings on the front of the vest, as they tended to flop around annoyingly. I'd tuck them in the pockets but they'd eventually work their way out. For those considering this vest, also note that when the plastic bottles are partially full, the water will slosh around unlike in a soft flask. Overall, I think the bottles on the back are a great concept but this vest needs more development and quality control.

My "Goto" vest!

I loved the original Momentum vest and love this one even more! So many great features and it rides well on the back! I can pack it light or load up the pockets if I need to. It's perfect for running just about any distance up to 100 miles.
