Surprisingly spacious

We haven't used it for camping yet but we set it up in our front yard to test it out. It came together in under 5 minutes. It’s very simple to put together! It also fit two queen sized cots, which was very surprising. We can’t wait to use it this summer.

Spacious but challenging

The tent is spacious but the zippers often get stuck and it was impossible to fold back up and fit into the storage bag.

Bad Design + Bad Materials = Bad Tent

The fiberglass poles started splintering after one night camping, so it was unusable almost instantly. The tent material seems to be decent quality but the rain fly design is such that it seems unlikely it would keep even the lightest rain out (I haven't been able to test it in the rain because the poles broke so quickly). About the only thing this tent is good for is reminding yourself of the delightful sensation of fiberglass filaments embedding themselves in your hands as you try to pack it up and throw it away. Not sure why REI is selling this thing.

Mediocre tent - can't recomment

I bought this tent for a three-week camping trip to WY, MT at multiple campgrounds. We are seasoned tent campers. Less than a week into the trip, one of the corner tie-downs separated from the tent. We had no way to stitch it back on the tent. We jerry-rigged the corner piece with a very tight large spring clip, drove the stake in the opening in the clip. With no where else to put it, the tent pole was just pushed into the ground. Additionally, one of the canopy's rods cracked almost completely. Duct tape helped. But as some people have written, a rod set replacement is not made by the manufacturer. The only redeeming grace of this tent is that the seams did not leak. Don't buy this tent.

Great for the price

I needed a basic, large tent for getting my wife into car camping. This fit all needs. Easy to setup. We can fit 2 full cots with 2 large dogs comfortably. I bought a cheap tarp as a footprint to keep it clean and have had zero issues using it. There is good air flow with all the windows open and the 2 extra stakes prop the rain fly up in the front and back. The carrying case is large with carrying straps and it’s easy to pack back up. I can pitch this with minimal help in under 10 minutes.

Good tent value, lots of floor space and head room

Quick and easy to set up and take down, though might be tricky solo for folks of short height and arms. Most valued are height at center (almost 6') that allows standing without stooping and ~90 sf of floor space. I haven't yet used this tent in wet or windy weather, but it passed a backyard simulated-rain test without leaks or seeps. Lack of a front overhang/porch probably will make for messy/wet use of the front door during rain, but that's in the tradeoff for simple design and low weight, bulk, and price.

Directions incomplete and not going to be water pr

The rain fly looks cool but doesnt cover the no seum mesh at the poles when the wind blows and it barely covers the side mesh. The instructions omit the rain fly and after working in sporting goods back in college and setting up 100's of dome tents I couldn't figure it out. Fortunately didn't rain. I gave it 2 stars because the poles seem sturdy but you cant get parts for it so stick to a bigger name brand tent.

EZ setup & Cozy

Totally love this tent! I used it once so far, on my camping/kayak trip to Lake Tahoe. It’s very spacious and I can stand up in it, which is why I got it. I put my cot in it and my daughter used an air mattress. It’s very easy to set up and take down, all clips. The zipper glides well, sealed out the cold temperature at night, 36 degrees. Can’t wait to use it again next year!

BROKEN STRING INSIDE TENT ROD

My girlfriend and I went camping and we unpacked the tent on the camp site to find out only one of the two rods were properly stringed and the other was broken, causing the 10 rod segments to be completely loose and unusable. We had to go to Walmart to buy wire to feed through the pole with the broken string to pitch the tent. This was a major inconvenience and not at all how we wanted to start our trip. Frankly we are lucky we could find a solution by nightfall. Highly disappointed with my purchase.

Weak tent poles

I have only set the tent up a few times and one of the poles has already broken. Weak elastic string holding tent pole together and fiberglass is already cracking on them. Normal use.
