Incredible value for money, easy to set up, excellent quality, compact, and comfortable. As a family of three we started with a Coleman sun dome 6, assuming more space and standing height was better. Wrong, it was so cold and drafty in that tent. Kelty has a fully sized rainfly and a previous generation model that we have has less mesh, which is very hard to find but exactly what we needed. It is super easy to set up and break down, the zippers work well, there are plenty of pockets and loops inside for organization. And the quality is far beyond Coleman at effectively the same price. Love Kelty!
This four-person tent was a last-minute purchase for a road trip that involved mostly primitive camping. It’s perfect for two people and all your gear. During one of the nights we spent at Smokemont Campground, it rained heavily, but the rainfly kept us completely dry. The tent’s easy setup and premium materials make it a smart purchase for many future trips. The carrying bag is generous enough to accommodate a not-so-perfect repacking. The poles are heavy-duty and felt very rigid. I ordered the ground cloth separately from Amazon, but I felt that after using it, it’s probably not necessary in most situations. I would definitely recommend this tent if you plan on doing road trips and staying at campgrounds with primitive sites.
