I bought this tent despite the many reviews about it no mastering the weather as advertised. I am currently sitting in the Black Hills of South Dakota after enduring an entire night of pounding thunderstorms and rain (heavy). Not one single leak. Rain fly didn’t leak. All seams held. So what is different from my review to others? Not sure if others used Scotch Guard on their tents. But I routinely set mine up before use and apply a good coat. It seems to do the trick. The pictures taken were from today 07-20-20, you can still see the moisture bearing on the rain fly. It even took several falling pieces of tree bark like a champ. Overall great tent so far. Requires 2 ppl to set up. Love the space, love you can stand straight up. Yes the instructions sewn in show the other model with the screen’d in room. No biggie. Overall happy with the purchase.
We've owned this tent for several years and have camped in it dozens of times. The waterproofing is poor, until we treated the entire tent inside and out with a waterproofing spray. Several seams have torn all over the tent, especially where the poles go. Its like the poles are too long for the design of the tent, and stretch the material and seams until they tear. Multiple stake loops have torn off. The tent is simple to setup and the wind resistance is indeed very very good. Once we waterproofed it with the spray it was indeed very weather-proof. We are now ready to replace it, but we won't be buying another of the same tent.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took 3 of us 45 minutes to assemble the first time with a 10 minute breakdown but will take less time as we get used to assembly. Tent is huge and will be great for our family of four so we can spread out with our kids and also has a room divider, rain protector, multiple windows, as well as two doors; one on front and back.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I pitched our new Coleman 10 today that Influenster sent me for my honest review. The Weathermaster was pretty easy for first-time setup. The instructions weren't great, but it was fairly obvious how things went. I will be applying seam sealer as I have on every tent. I like the fact that there are no seams on resting on the ground. The ventilation will be great on this tent with the rain fly. The divider is great for privacy, and the hinged door makes going in and out of a breeze. Coleman didn't slack on room as this tent is huge, with the highest point being 6 foot 8 inches. If you're looking for a tent that is made well and will last for years to come, I definitely recommend this tent for all your adventures.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this complimentary gift from Coleman and Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I knew this was a 10 person tent so I expected it to have a rather large footprint but the added height and swinging door added the feel of even more space. I live in Chicago and camp often in the summers in Michigan as well as other parks around the United States so I was geeked to be able to have a tent to share with my family when we go together. The height allows for you to stand comfortably and the overall footprint allows for you to be able to fit a queen sized air mattress comfortably and still have room for more people to sleep in the same tent. There’s an option for a privacy flap between the tent if you’re sharing with someone else / friends. I didn’t add the rain flap on top as I was having a rather hard time setting up the tent in the space I had (and I was in an concrete floor so I couldn’t stake it into the ground in my chicago backyard. Luckily the last couple of days were nice enough to finally step outside and set this up. I tried timing how long it took to set this up by myself but I forgot to check the timer when I finished. It’s fairly easy to do alone if you’re patient and if it’s not windy but it’s definitely more helpful if you have at least one other person to help prop it up. Breakdown was a lot faster as I was more familiar with the pieces. I cannot wait to put this tent to the test against the elements.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a family of eight with six children ranging from 17 all the way down to eight months. We love to go camping and doing things outdoors and felt this Coleman tent for Ted. People was perfect for our needs. You can literally fit three queen air mattresses inside! There are room dividers for privacy for the parents, or whoever needs it. There is a hinged door on the front, which is nice for such a large tent. And as you can see from the picture it fits compact inside of a small carry bag, which is unbelievable. So it’s easy to travel and carry in your car, truck, or camper to go alongside. it accommodates people over 6 feet tall as the tent itself is 6‘8“. It’s a nice tan color to blend in with nature and has WeatherTech protection system to help stand up against the elements. I am thrilled with our tent and cannot wait to make many memories in it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ✨Disclosure✨ Influenster has sent me this product for free and in exchange for an honest review. This tent is amazing, and very spacious. It can fit up to 10 people, and the quality of it is very good. It’s very sturdy and it comes with an awesome bag to put the tent in. I forget to take pictures of it while I had it up but I got pictures of the bag with the product inside so you could see how it looked in the picture.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in MN so I wasn't able to set It up completely cause of our current weather: but after opening it up it looked fantastic. Material was durable and sturdy. Everything was neatly packaged and came with an easy to haul carrying case. I even accidentally spilt my beverage on it and it didn't leave a stain on the fabric. am looking forward to fully trying this out in spring/summer timeframe.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is way bigger than I thought it would be, I know it's for 10 people but you could comfortably fit 10 adults and 2 little ones. Set up was relatively easy as long as you have help. The weather was not an issue for this tent. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up throughout the seasons.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coleman Weathermaster is an absolute winner for group camping trips! It's incredibly spacious and is comfortably accommodating. I love how sturdy and mostly weather-resistant it is. It helps provide peace of mind even in stormy conditions but I’d try and seal the bottom if it’s very rainy for long durations.. Plus, the ventilation system keeps the interior fresh and cozy. Setting it up is easier than I thought, and the room divider adds a nice touch of privacy. Overall, it's a fantastic tent that ticks all the boxes and I feel so lucky to have received it! Thanks so much!!
