Squirrels love them too!
I love my hydro mocs. I’ve taken them kayaking and rafting in Wyoming, camping and hiking in Utah, worn them around town and on nature trail walks with my dog. Apparently squirrels like them too, one of my shoes was taken in the middle of the night in Wyoming and I found it 2 days later off a dirt road under a pine with the heel and toe chewed, lol. I was happy to find it and still wear them despite the damage!

Sometime a good idea turns into a bad product
I had a good 3 months ride with those shoes. I liked them. I took them camping. I used them at the lake, gardening and in the evening after long hikes. I liked the concept and they are light and comfy - although I prefer to wear them with socks. I guess that is personal. So all good right? Not quite… 1/ fit is specific to Merrel. If you have weird foot shape or large move along. 2/ the sole is certainly not very robust and wears down real quick. 3/ the material is overall of poor quality. As mentioned in 2/ it’s weak but I had the weirdest problem. I left the shoes in my garage - which is where all my shoes are - and to my surprise the left one shrank. It’s notably smaller and tight. The right one is just fine. I contacted merrell and was told that I subjected my shoes to excessive heat and that this is not covered by warranty. For a company that prides themselves to make outdoor shoes that makes me laugh. And therefor 4/ be aware that those shoes should only be used indoor with AC between 70 and 80 degF.

Stop looking and buy them!
I recently picked these up and I have say that I’m not only impressed, I’m sad! I’m sad because I’ve wasted a lot of money on other stuff that doesn’t come close and cost a lot more money. First of all big thank you to everyone that reviewed and provided the advice to size down. I have a wider forefoot but sized down from my normal 12 to an 11 and the fit is perfect (that’s with or without socks). These Mocs have a lower profile then anything else out there which make them look much better on foot to me. The holes on the top of the Moc provide amazing airflow and are great to throw on after a workout to let your feet breath! They have a great feel under foot as well, soft but not to the point of squishy which is something I’m not a fan of. The color I purchased is the blue and it looks even better in hand than in the pictures. I picked these up on sale but would be happy to pay retail because they are worth it! I’m the process now of looking for some for the family! These aren’t getting enough hype but I’m ok with that because smart consumers will still be able to pick them up! Awesome shoe Merrell!

Really Comfortable
I can’t remember when I purchased (it doesn’t show up in my account purchase history) but it maybe 6 months ago or a little longer. Very comfortable but I always wear with socks since they are a little loose so I fear blisters and to keep my feet clean on trails. I usually wear a 10.5 so I sized down to 10. Maybe 9 could’ve worked but those are the perils of online shopping. I’ve worn the soles down pretty good in moderate walking, mostly on concrete:asphalt but they still have decent traction. Probably not the recommended use. My neighbor runs in his without socks and loves them. I’d buy another pair if I could try on a 9 first or try another newer version.
