I was looking for a good pair pf disc golf ahoes and ran into Salomon. Tried some different models in REI and went ahead and bought the sense ride 3's online. The shoe is extremely comfortable and lightweight on the fight. I can move fast throwing off the teepad and not feel like im wearing hiking boots but I can still handle the terrain of some of the rockier hilly courses. The sensi fit wraps around the foot well and feels snug! Cons of this shoe involve tucking the lace away after tightening and the clips being relatively cheap plastic. I broke one side of a clip off from hitting the soles together to shake them off. The intended lace pocket doesnt really work after you've tightened them down because the pocket gets sealed shut by the laces. I do something different to deal with it. I may be doing it wrong or it can be a design flaw. Refer to pictures Overall best disc golf shoe on the market, buy it!
As a huge fan of the Speedcross Series to train in and the S/Lab series to race in, I never gave the Sense series a try until this spring. I was amazed on how well the shoe fit my foot right out of the box. There was literally no break in period. I took them on a 7 mile run through mud, snow, pavement, and dirt and they outperformed my expectations. I was amazed on how well they transitioned from the road to the trail. The grip they provided in the mud and ice rivals some of the more expensive options in the Salomon line. The weight and cushioning was perfect for a training shoe and many might be comfortable racing in this shoe.
A super durable shoe that could easily be used for trail running or hiking. Quickly becoming one of my all time favorite Salomon shoes. That is saying plenty since I have been wearing Salomon trail shoes for 16 years. Get them while you can!! :)
I found the perfect trail running shoe. Supportive sole but not clunky. Lightweight and so comfortable. Love this shoe!
I have now run around 50k in these shoes so thought i might leave a review of my thoughts so far. This isn't my first pair of Salomons as i have owned some XA Pros and already own a pair of Speedcross 5, maybe i'll review these too! I've got to say that the Sense Ride 3 are super comfy, i wanted some shoes that would be happy transitioning the road sections on my usual routes and these fit the bill perfectly, in fact i'd say these are comparable in comfort to my road shoes! They seem to offer the right amount of support in all the right places and appear to be really grippy on all types of surface both wet and dry. In terms of sizing, my regular shoes are a uk9 and i normally up size by a 1/2 in running shoes so i went for 9.5, just right and true to size. I've heard differing opinions on the width of Salomon shoes but i'd say these are fairly roomy in the toe area and certainly a little wider than say the Speedcross. I can't comment on the Ride 2s as have never tried them. I love the range of colours, i went for the stormy weather colour way. As with the Speedcross, i love the speed lace system, so easy and also comfortable. I have read other reviews complaining that the top lace crosses the lace pocket and that it's hard to tuck it away, i guess if you are unfortunate to only have thumbs then this may be the case...!! It's really easy to pull up the pocket before the final tension of the lace and then tuck it away, i believe the position of this helps to keep the tongue from slipping down also. I've worn these in warmish conditions and my feet certainly didn't feel like they were overheating and although i'm sure there are lighter shoes out there these certainly didn't feel heavy at all. All in all, really pleased and now look forward to my trail runs even more than before!
Super smooth cruiser! Digging it's Door to Trail personality, 1.5 miles from my front to the trail head, and all with great road manners. On the trail the Contagrip is perfection; whether on hard pack, soft ground, or wet rock. The Profeel Film keeps your feet well protected. The upper is every bit a la Salomon! Fit is true to size and offers the right volume. Once the laces are set I've not adjusted them once on any run. Now comes the Optivibe. The Sense Ride 3 rolls super easy through the gate cycle, probably the best cushion to response of any traditional trail shoe in its class. Feet and legs feel FRESH after every run. Fantastic mid-foot stability. Absolute winner that can take on the road, a bunch of trail conditions, and short to very long distances. Nailed it!
I got these shoes about a month ago and they have been a fantastic do it all shoe. I first spent some days walking around breaking them in and they are very comfortable/supportable while standing on your feet all day, breathe well and were the topic of some compliments. I've only run in them a few times but I was able to put them through a variety of conditons: packed trail, mud, sand, loose gravel, snow, ice, little rock fields, and road (truly all in one run, gotta love mud season in Salt Lake City, Utah!). They performed really well in pretty much all of the conditions (even the snow!). I was very impressed with the versatility. Definitely if you encounter ice, be a little careful as these won't save you (pretty rare running so I'll take that tradeoff), but even then they can still hang. Overall impression- Comfortable, supportive, accurate fitting, breathes well and pretty water resistant. Could be a great one shoe quiver! Durability I'm not sure of since I have only had them for such a short time but given my long time experience with Salomon and their proven track record of design/materials, I'm not too concerned. Enjoy!
I really enjoyed this shoe while it lasted! They arrived in mid May and were used very lightly on some flat trail surfaces until July. As soon as I started getting back into mountain running, the lacing system began to fall apart on the right shoe. The stitching next to the eyelet completely came undone in the middle of a 15 mile ridge run! I really enjoyed the shoe but was disappointed by how short they lasted.

I bought these shoes two months ago and they were comfortable from the get-go. Not much of a break in period at all. They have better traction than the old sense ride model and are actually true to size. The only thing I changed was the color of the shoelaces.
Bought this shoe as a high mileage training shoe, have done several very long runs in them and couldn't be happier. The shoe reminds me of the sense pro, but much more comfortable and relaxed in comparison. I've had the opportunity to run in these shoes in wet, dry, as well snow, on pavement, dirt, and rocks, I have run to the tops of mountains in them and the shoe handled all terrain and conditions admirably. I'm not picky, but my feet are, these shoes fit very nicely, though I'm partial to Salomon running shoes. The sense ride 3 fits very much like the sense pro, and speedcross, but feels quite different in sizing and feel then the ultra pro.
