Salomon  Speedcross GORE-TEX Trail-Running Shoes - 20-Year Limited Edition

Super fresh shoe with quality materials. Had to cop the 20 year anniversary!

The Salomon Speedcross—particularly the Speedcross 6—is simply the best shoe I’ve ever worn. Ever. I’ve worn the Speedcross series over the years, and somehow Salomon has continued to make an already exceptional shoe better and better without losing what made it special in the first place. I equate the Speedcross with the way Porsche has treated the 911: revolution through evolution. You don’t throw away a great design just to make something new. You refine it. Improve it. Fix the little things. Keep what works. And generation after generation, you end up with something even better while it remains unmistakably what it has always been. That’s the Speedcross. Celebrating 20 years with this limited-edition GORE-TEX version feels exactly right. It takes everything I love about the Speedcross and wraps it into a shoe that feels worthy of the anniversary. And, purely personally, Salomon couldn’t have picked a better color combination. Black, silver and red? Perfect. Twenty years later, the Speedcross isn’t trying to reinvent itself. It doesn’t need to. Keep evolving it. I’ll keep wearing it.

My first words (honostly) after putting these on and walking around for 1 minute was: "Wow! All humans should be born with these!". That was back when the Speedcross 2 came out - and I have never been with out a pair since. The narrow-ish hugging fit is GOLD (DON'T change a thing) ---Request: I would like Gore-tex Speedcross with pavement lugs AND a pair with hybrid trail/pavement lugs - with EXACTLY the same profile as these. These are my favorite shoe by far.

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of Speedcross shoes, all exactly the same size and all fit perfectly until this version. The Anniversary edition is super narrow fitting, such that within a couple minutes my foot goes numb and cramps. Unfortunately I missed my opportunity to return the shoes. I really hoped the shoes would stretch out after a few days of wear, unfortunately that didn't happen. I now have a perfectly new pair of shoes gathering dust in my closet.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have narrow feet with very high arches, and I can never find a shoe that fully supports my feet. The moment I tried these on, I knew they were the right shoe. I also wear them while working at the hospital, where I am on my feet all day long, and they are amazing. They are also great for the trails; I never slip. They have a fantastic grip.

I’ve taken my Salomon Speedcross Gore-Tex on four hikes so far, and they’ve been solid. Great traction—even in snow—and they’ve kept my feet well protected. I did slip once on hard ice, but that’s expected in those conditions. Also love the look—been getting a lot of compliments on them.

I thought these were the best-looking trail runners they have. They're my third pair of Salmons and the first version of this sneaker type. Had to retire them after 5 runs because they give me consistent back pain.

I am obsessed with this brand. The sneakers are comfortable, and form fitting. The sizing is consistent every time.. I’m building my collection, I think I have an addiction to this brand haha..

This is my 4th pair of Speedcross 6 shoes. I use them as general training and walking shoes. They are a great fit hugging my feet well, no blisters or rubbing.
