Salomon  S/LAB Ultra Dust Trail-Running Shoes

I just ran the Marathon des Sables in April wearing these shoes. They were perfect with the right amount of bounce. The sole was amazing and absorbed all the unevenness from the rocks you were stepping on. They were really comfortable. I got a size larger than my normal running shoes, but the toe box is quite roomy. I have to add that the zipper did break during the race, but I taped it up and got on with it. The superfine sand really interferes with most zippers on things like slepping bags, etc, so I would dust off my zipper or blow hard on it before opening it next time. Yes! I got a new pair from Salomon and I will be wearing them on my next MDS. I also see comments about the gaitors ripping at the MDS-well there are big thorn bushes on the course and they will rip any type of gaitor.

I used this for Marathon Des Sables Legendary 2025 this year and honestly cannot recommend it enough, it was brilliant! They took an absolutely beating running through sand dune, mountains, very technical terrain, salt plains, rain, the lot! They held through it all very well and definitely still have many more miles to go Shoe is incredibly comfy, great cushioning but you can still feel where you are going under foot. I got a half size up from normal (just because of the feet swelling in the heat) and that was perfect. Anything else and Id go for my usual size. Durability was spot in, they got dragged through rocky terrain, thistles, bushes all sorts and both the gaiter and the shoe stayed firm Gaiters were great, no sand got in the shoe when running through the sand dune and jebels

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE. They have become my favorite trail shoes. And they are so easy to clean. I was worried how they would hold up after running, but a quick rinse and wipe and they are back to clean.

I bought these with a hope that they would be supportive and comfortable and let me tell you they are beyond both. They are perfection. I am so glad I bought them. I feel really sturdy wearing these!

I ran the 50-mile UTAH 115 this weekend (amazing race BTW) —tons of sand everywhere—and not once did I have to stop to dump it out of my shoes. Seriously impressive!

First time I invested in Salomon brand and after my race I already got another pair to a different type of terrain. The best investment ever.

Not great for hard trails. Beat for soft surface or sandy terrain. The built in gaiter and zip lock is great.

Love this fit, comfort and built-in gaitors.... Great construction!
