Salomon  GRVL Concept Trail-Running Shoes

I am usually a size 7 but ordered a 6.5. They are an extremely wide shoe and had so much gaping around the ankle and lots of room around the toe box. I could easily fit 2 fingers down the sock part. Such a shame becuase they felt really great otherwise.

Grvl concepts is really fun shoe to run in on light trails and pavements. Took them for 6 mile run from place down to trail’s that are light nothing to aggressive. Comfort great responsive shoe lacing super easy. May attempt my first 50k ultra in these soon

I'm giving it 5 stars, because this is a thoughtfully designed, high quality shoe with a great stack. For me personally it's a 4, It's not for my foot. I can't lock in my heel or fore foot and a size down my toes will touch. I am loving the pulsar trail pro 2, phantasm 2 S/Lab and the Spectur 2 S/Lab. My search for a dirt/rock to pavement runner continues. I need a hybrid and I can't go without the energy/carbon blade. Some people are going to love this shoe. Just put a little effort into the lacing, it's a little different than the other quick laces.

Good - The foam is amazing. Feels cushioned and soft and super bouncy, yet feels stable on gravel/road/dirt. And I think this would work for a wide range of foot widths because there is a lot of room in the toe box. Bad - the quick lace system gives me blisters and hotspots in multiple spots when running. The laces are too narrow and hard and dig in if you want a more snug fit. Because of this, I use them more as a walking/hiking shoe where I don't have to tighten them as much. Size runs a bit large (1/2 size I'd say but I just kept mine).

. I log around 20–25 miles a week, and the GRVL-Concept has completely replaced my Zegamas as my go-to shoe. Every run feels insanely energetic — they genuinely make you feel like you’re springing forward with every stride. On top of that, they’re incredibly comfortable and built tough enough to handle serious mileage and terrain. Easily one of the most underrated “dark horse” running shoes out there, and one of the few pairs that actually make running feel more fun every time you lace them up.

Two runs in with the concept. I was looking for a ride that would make running fun again after nagging joint pain. I didn’t want to get too soft in the underfoot to the point that I was just mashing my way along so I have been very pleased with these shoes. Salomon has somehow managed to keep the speed and dynamic nature of the shoe while- good for training and racing across trail to gravel to grass, ashfalt etc. These shoes inspire me to lace up and get outside every time I look at them.

The GRVL CONCEPT feels great right out of the box, plush yet bouncy and forgiving. Traction is great event with very minimal lugs. The lock down is not quite perfect and I needed to wear thicker socks to avoid heel slipping. I do wish the base of the midfoot was a few millimeters wider, the extra soft midsole can be a touch unstable, but overall this is a winner with a ride like nothing else on the market!

From the lacing design to the comfort, this shoe is a 10/10. This shoe has the most notably cushion compared to any shoe I have tried. I have had 4 ACL surgeries, so this matters to me (cushion). I was able to do 8 miles no problem, walking through rocks/gravel on the road without sliding. It would be a miss not to comment on the pure aesthetic of this shoe - this is an absolutely gorgeous sneaker

As a trail/gravel runner my whole life I can tell you these are some of the best shoes I’ve worn! Insanely comfortable and the built in gator like top helps keep gravel out of the shoe. Salomon just keeps hitting it out of the park, I’ve worn shoes from many different brands and I’m now a Salomon only convert.

Almost perfect! The midsole is fantastic. Very enjoyable, bouncing, and energetic. The lacing system however, needs some work. Instead of tucking the remaining lacing into a pocket in the upper for a cleaner look, you have to thread it through the loop on the tongue, making it look sloppy.
