I demoed a pair on a 5k feet, 10 miles technical route involving a steep scramble and a rooty, rocky descent. The following comparisons are relative to Speedgoat, not the same category - granted, but popular. Grip is excellent, and the narrower and stiffer base make it more precise for scrambling. It felt softer though than the atrocious S/Lab from a few years ago. Running the descent was very safe, no predisposition to rolling ankle. The one negative is they’re slower to dry, water was still sloshing an hour later. Recommended.
bought these in April for a trip to Spain and Morocco. The most light and comfortable shoes I’ve owned.
