Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Travel Pants Was looking for travel or weekend pants and came across these in store. Nice stretch and comfortable to wear for long flights. Fit is on the small side, so size up the waist and length one notch if you order online. Cares easily with a simple cold wash and hang dry which is convenient on the road. Waist button is loose by design and zipper opening seems to open slightly on its own, might try to fix this myself and relocate the button to tighten up the waist which docks it a star. Also kind of pricey compared to other options but I expect I will wear these pants frequently so value is not so bad I guess.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Almost good, just not tested in the real world I bought this product about six weeks ago, and I have 2 seems that are wearing out. I only have worn the pants for a few days on weekends, and 3 days this week. The fabric is great, breathable and no concern about bugs, however if the seems fall out of them, that kinda defeats the purpose. Additionally, I snagged on some shrubbery and now have a large 2 inch run on one of the legs. I understand that they are meant to be lightweight for summer/buggy environments, but at the price point the fabric should be able to hold up to some basic hiking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Bug-free, but... I bought these pants from REI just before leaving for a 2 week tour of Vietnam & Cambodia. As it turns out, I only wore them for 3 days of the trip, when I most expected to see mosquitoes. The sizing runs a little small in the waist, so I got 1 size larger than I usually wear (36 instead of 34). The material is light enough to be reasonably comfortable in 90 to 95 degree weather. The stretchiness of the material in the legs made it easy to climb the large stone steps of temples in Angkor, and the zip thigh pocket is large enough to easily hold my REI passport security wallet. I also like that the zips on the pockets are concealed. Overall, I really liked the feel and look of the pants. However, after only 3 days of use, I was really disappointed to see significant pilling that occurred on the material above the back pocket and around my right hip, where my messenger-style camera equipment bag contacted the pants. Two other pairs of pants that I wore for twice as long on this trip, showed no wear in the same area, under similar conditions. For that reason, I'd have reservations recommending these pants to photographers who carry a fairly large camera bag
