Now I know why they’re on clearance

Bought two pair because they were on clearance. They’re not cargo pants, though they do have a zippered pocket on the left leg, I guess I could put my zip off pant legs in there. Speaking of zip off pant legs, they’re not marked which one is left, and which one is right, as opposed to other convertible pants I own. Also, no zipper on the lower legs, so I had to take off my boots to get the legs off. Could use a couple of more belt loops, and will accept a normal belt. The stretch waistband is handy I guess, and the pockets seem a little better than other convertible pants. Won’t be using these for hiking/backpacking as my original intention, but will be able to use them at work.

Nice hiking pants

Great fit, very comfortable pants. Shorts are just right lenght when converted. The zipper is a little dainty, so I'm hoping that holds up. Otherwise great!

Great pair of pants! Great pair of shorts!

This is actually my second purchase - I had bought the blue one previously and wore it on a trip to Sapporo and Kyoto, Japan. The weather for both places were very different and it served me well as a pair of pants and pair of shorts when walking around. Very comfortable.

Great fit

I did not expect this brand or size to fit well. But it fits really well. Very comfortable

Misleading

I wanted these pants because the fit looked slim in the picture. I wanted these pants for more of a day in the park and if needed to go out to dinner after could dress up. They are baggier than they look, I will be returning them. I already have a pair of convertible pants that I use to hike from REI, which I love.

Bought a pair in both

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a pair in both colors, and I love them! Pants work as advertised with no complaints.

Need longer legs

I love the material and fit. However, I wish they they came in longer leg lengths.

Not as described

As others said the legs are NOT actually labeled as it directly states in the description. Also not very comfortable as either a shorts or a pants kind of a conundrum on what these are good for honestly. Lounging around the house or yard work maybe but why need a convertible pant for that? Not a good Free Country product honestly

Comfortable, flexible, fit is perfect

I bought these for my husband in blue steel and saddle. He said they are comfortable, flexible, and the fit is perfect in size and length. He also likes the colors. From my standpoint they look great on - not baggy and not tight, and the colors are good.

Not very flexible

Overall I like the pants with one main drawback — the zipper area is narrow for my leg and not flexible at all, making it easy to rip seams in that area when crouching. Which is weird because everywhere else the pants are nice and loose
