Sets up easily. You sit about 3-4 inches from the ground so it is best for the limber and balanced person. I am 5'4" and 130# with hips about 14" wide; very comfortable for me, similar to a hammock. Particularly comfortable with one leg close and the other stretched out. Someone with wider hips may find it too narrow. The disk-shaped base allows you to rock a bit forward, back and side to side, perfect for someone who doesn't like to sit perfectly still... but still be balanced when sitting still. Not sure how this chair would feel for a very tall person. Love the base/ carrying case.
The Uno Chair is versatile and easy to set up, but what I think I like the most and really sets it apart is the disk shaped base that doesn't sink into sand and loose soil like most chairs with slim, pegged feet. The flat surface makes it very stable and 'floats' on sand. Awesome on river and beach trips.
Pretty compact. Packs up into a disk. Feels sturdy when you sit in it. Although it pivots, with your legs out you don't feel unstable. Much more relaxing than a log. Sets up and tears down quickly. A little heavy for backpacking, but a nice luxury to have.
I love this chair/ table. I use it to eat off, play games, enjoy scenery and relax! Because of its single base it allows for a subtle rocking motion to really get your chill on. I do wish it was a few inches higher and when in the chair I wonder if I am damaging the base. But after a month of significant use, I have seen no wear or tear. Love it, will continue taking it everywhere!
don't you wish the disc to this was also the lid to a bear canister? then this would be the best back packing chair out there
The chair is low and feel very flimsy when you move around. I brought it because it can convert to table mode, but we keep spilling food off of it because the pole does not stay on. It's wobbly when you cut food or put drinks on it. I think it's useful on soft surfaces like beach or grass as a chair but I wouldn't use it for camping on rough source or trust it as a table.
Had had a lot of butts in this chair! At first it is a bit odd if your not used to sitting low to the ground but once you figure out how to sit/lean back in these chairs they are sooooo comfy! I own two and if I needed more chairs this would be it. The base also helps make it feel super stable and sturdy on soft ground. Not a fan of the table feature but who cares it's a chair!
Only rating this chair four (4) STARS, haven't given it a real good testing yet, the Alum. rods are a little smaller in diameter than that of my Helinox Swivel Chair. Also, the main support Alum. rods are set in the Plastic base, that I am hoping to last and be very durable.
I was pleasantly surprised as to how well this little gem is designed & works. It's quite innovative & serves a good purpose, I will be adding to my collection.
Cool design, very light, super compact, durable and tough. What more could you want?
